> 3 dayreally excited when this came and then... put together was good other than wand would not stay in place in main unit, found that tab was stuck and had to giggle it loose to catch (SHOULD have just boxed it back up and sent it back BIG MISTAKE to not do) Then found on first use on carpet there is a short in the electrical cord somewhere so during use the brush feature will turn itself off and I have to giggle or pull on the cord to get it to start again - MAJOR ISSUE. Box got thrown away (efficient husband) before I realized what an issue this vacuum is. My son has one and never had any issues so thats why I got this one. Its just the luck of the draw I guess for poor quality workmanship and quality control.

> 3 dayI’m new to this hole adulting thing, but I did a lot of research before hand and landed on this one, that’s to vacuum wars on YouTube lol. But, when I got it in the mail and used it I probably vacuumed my house 3 times that day, I love it, and it works so good on hard surfaces too.

> 3 dayThis is my second shark vacuum, this one is a few steps up on my last one. This vacuum has amazing suction power! In a house with 3 dogs and an other half that does landscaping, my floors (carpet / hard wood) are constantly a mess. I am a more petite woman so the vacuum is on heavy side and is almost as tall as I am. It’s not that smooth with maneuvering around, and my lift away hose sticks at the handle but other than that, I do recommend it!

> 3 dayIt really does clean well..no pets, but I have long hair that continually jammed my previous vacuum. It also seems to polish the bare floors. However, be aware that it is heavy and top-heavy...it requires a certain amount of strength to maneuver. Its a very good vacuum, and Im pleased with it.

> 3 dayPros: Not too heavy (see detailed review below) Canister separates to make an even lighter unit Attachments hold firm to caddy Swivel head allows for quick turns Has lighted brush switch so you know when the brushes are engaged for carpet Relatively quiet. (as loud as a 1500 watt hair dryer) Cons: NO DUSTING BRUSH (I knocked off 2 stars for this) Floor head only 12” wide Finicky release buttons hard to push Attachments not standard size Conclusion: I recommend it as long as you know its limitations. This unit replaces my Wind Tunnel self propelled vac which got too heavy and cumbersome to lug up the steps anymore. The stated weight is 17 lbs. which I confirmed. People should understand what 17 lbs. is before buying this or any vac. The lifting handle is located at the center of gravity so you can lift straight up without bending. When you separate the canister from the floor brush unit you shave off 6 lbs. making a compact package for vacuuming the stairs while moving the canister up one step at a time. I found the release for the hose handle and also the emptying latches stiff and difficult to push. If you have arthritis in your hands better go to the store and check one out in person. I can not believe this vacuum DOES NOT COME WITH A DUSTING BURSH nor is one available for this unit according to the Shark website. Half of my vacuuming is done with a dusting brush. The hose on this model seems to be a wider diameter than previous Sharks so existing attachments will not fit. Since it is not standard almost none of the ones on Amazon will fit. I finally found one that comes with an adapter that enables it and all other standard attachments to fit. With the adapter in place you can mount the brush on the back of the vac. Finally, there are a lot of plastic catches and latches on this unit and I hope they will stand the test of time. The 5 year warranty is only as good as Sharks customer service which based on a lot of these reviews is sketchy at best. > 3 dayIt does the job but is very heavy and difficult to maneuver. You really cannot get under tables, beds ect. The accessories that come with it are just okay. I was looking for a vacuum that I could use to vacuum carpeted stairs. I figured since you could detach the base, this would be helpful, but the accessories that it comes with are not very good.

> 3 dayThis is my third Shark vacuum, and I have been a fan for a long time. This Shark, however, is poorly designed compared to the others. There is no light on the handle; when using the handle and small attachments (for stairs, for instance) there is no work light. The wand does not attach directly to the motorized floor head, allowing the unit to access areas under furniture; it is far too large and bulky. The ON/OFF switch is no longer conveniently located on the handle, requiring you to bend forward over the unit to turn the unit or brushes on and off. The best feature about this vacuum is the DuoClean roller in the front of the unit, but it is hardly worth the cost and certainly not worth the additional cost of purchasing a second vacuum I can use on stairs and under furniture. If Shark would simply take the convenient, innovative features from all their vacuums and put it on one, theyd outdo Dyson and every other company out there!

> 3 dayTHIS IS THE BEST PURCHASE I MADE IN 2020! The power on this baby is amazing! And the Lift-Away feature is my absolute favorite! This has made my life so much easier! Not only is it faster/easier to vacuum my stairs, and couches, but the Shark picks up soooooo much more dirt and hair than any vacuum Ive owned! I only have 2 complaints about this vacuum. (Theyre not so important to me, but they may be deciding factors for others) 1. Its HEAVY! This bad boy packs some weight. Although it moves easily and smoothly, holding it up can be a challenge. To add to this its on the tall side. So a short 52 lady like myself has to hold it lower, where Im supporting more of its weight. 2. The uncloggable brush roll is fake news. I have a long haired dog, a long haired cat, and a long haired self. I have to clean out the brush roll every 4th use or so. Ill admit, I also dont vacuum as often as Im supposed to.. HOWEVER! The brush roll is SO EASY to get to and SO EASY to clean! I highly recommend this vacuum to everyone!

Greater than one weekPurchased this to replace our 8 year old Shark Navigator lift away. This thing died from the board overheating in 5 months. Tried calling Shark, the automated system didnt even offer an option for vacuums. Took it to the local repair and was boxes of Shark vacuums that had done the same thing. They also told us that Shark doesnt stand behind their product & it takes forever to get parts. Our old Shark was bullet proof. This one is not. Shark customer service doesnt exist. We use our vacuum 2-3 times weekly on a 2700 sq ft house. A $300 vacuum cleaner should last longer than 5 months. Dont buy.
