Sigma 30mm F1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens for Sony E

Good product

This lens is absolutely wonderful. Incredibly sharp, the low light performance is fantastic. Auto focus even in low light conditions is extremely fast. I cant find anything wrong with this product.

On older a6xxx focus is driven slower than Sonys 35 1.8 oss. On 6600 the real time tracking eliminates any perceptible difference. The actual light transmission is roughly the same wide open. I would recommend the Sigma over Sony s offering despite the lack of OSS purely for ease of matching color with Sigmas also excellent 16 1.4.

Ha sido el primer objetivo que he comprado para cambiar el del kit y la diferencia es avismal en mi Sony a5000. Me acabo de comprar también la a6300 que todavía no me ha llegado, pero después de probarlo en mi a5000 me entran las dudas de si he echo o no una buena inversión ya que he quedado muy contento con las fotos que he conseguido con este objetivo y mi a5000. Eso sí, lo compré en Amazon y lo devolví porque lo encontré más barato en otra tienda.

I bought this $149 lens for my Sony NEX Camera primarily because it was much smaller than the Sony 18/55 mm lens. I read a large number of reviews and many were positive. Based on my own comparisons, Id say this lens provides about the same quality photo as does Sonys. But not the case in low light situations where Sonys stabilization built into their lens makes a difference.

Mon objectif favori. Quitte rarement mon boitier. Netteté impeccable à f/4, rapide, propre. Un grand bravo à sigma. Un peu soft à 1.4 mais ça reste totalement acceptable. Nhésitez pas

Great lens for the price, last me a few years.

I ran this lens for a couple years on my Sony A6000 with incredible results. I had an 18-55 zoom lens too, but never found myself using it. This is roughly the equivalent to a 50mm on a full frame camera, which is what your eye sees. Its neither wide, nor telephoto. The image quality was incredible and build quality was so impressive for the price. Now, you CAN put this on a Sony A7, given its an e-mount, but its not designed for a full frame camera. But it is worth noting, if you do upgrade in the future, its something you could still get by with until you buy new lenses.
