Sigma 30mm F1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens for Sony E

Not compatible with my camera, couldnt find a review for my specific camera so got one to give it a go.

I dont know much about lenses as i am just starting out as a hobby.

Been using this lens for a little while now and I am incredibly pleased with the performance of this lens. Excellent in low light, absolutely excellent. It’s a great and incredibly versatile focal length at 30mm which is great on an aps-c camera. Incredibly sharp, like, really really sharp even wide open at 1.4. The only lens I know of that is sharper is the sigma 16mm 1.4 that I also own. Sharper than the Sony 35mm 1.8 for over $100 cheaper too! Pixel peeping aside, you can’t get a better lens for the money. Fast, sharp, portraits look fantastic even at a relatively shorter focal length (compared to a Sony 85mm) bokeh is smooth and the lens itself isn’t bulky at all. The only negative thing I have about this lens is that the auto focus isn’t as quick in really low light but that’s true for most lenses. It’s not slow just not as quick as daylight. All in all I recommend this lens to anyone looking for a good portrait/walkaround lens for under $400.

habe das 30 mm die letzte Zeit auf meiner Sony bin sehr zufrieden der AF ist manchmal etwas langsam.

The lens does its job marvellously. The one using it must know the camera settings properly before taking shots.

Cet objectif a tout de suite remplacé le 16-50 de base, parfait pour de la photo intrusive, angle un peu plus fermé que le champ de vision.

This is hands down the best investment I have made for my Sony APS-C. This lens is super sharp and fast focus. Its focal length comes close to the 50mm length on Full Frame cameras. This paired with the a6500 which uses the in body image stabilization allow for great hand held portrait shots even in less than ideal lighting. I have been using the a6500 + 30mm Sigma for most of the event coverage I do now. The a7rii is starting to collect dust now.

une des optiques les plus piquée pour Nex meme a 1.4, dommage que ce ne soit pas un 35mm mais un 30mm.
