> 24 hourThe storage capacity is done well enough; it has the typical nearly 10%-15% of the 2GB occupied by system data or whatnot. The Tech support gets 5 stars because I have yet to need their assistance with how well this works. Data flows quickly and constantly. The portability of this device is amazing. it is the perfect size for travel, and the fact that the connector cable secures perfectly to the casing is a great feature. I never have to worry about damaging the drive or loosing the cable. Speaking of the casing, it in itself is quite a nice feature. lightweight, and it protects the drive fairly well; I have not done much to test the extent of the durability because i do not want to intentionally inflict damage to my drive, however, from just regular everyday usage, the protective casing is a nice and secure feeling which leaves everything working perfectly fine.

> 24 hourI would liked a longer cable. since my USB port is high on my computer, I had to putt some books to hold device where it is not dangling because the cable is to short! I hope manufacturer corrects this flaw in the design.

> 24 hourThis is a fantastic external hard drive. I use this to store my massive collection of movies, shows and my photos/videos. I have had this plugged in for many hours a day every day for months playing videos straight off of it and have had no over heating issues or any other problems. I am quite impressed and surprised at how reliable this hard drive has been. I have dropped it onto my hard wood floors and spilled coffee on it twice and it wasnt even phased. I would definitely recommend buying this to anyone in need of a tough and reliable external hard drive.

> 24 hourWorks great. Smaller than I expected, no bulky power cord to plug in. But if you are buying one of these do yourself a favor and reformat it when you get it to NTSF. The reason being is when you get it and start putting files on it, it will work great. I had about 1TB of info on it and then it wouldnt accept a file saying that there wasnt enough room on the drive. The problem was it comes formatted to something different that will not accept files over 4 GB. So the file I was trying to add wasnt going to fit. I had to take everything back off and then format it to NTFS. Now it works great! These things are far superior to the WD BOOKS Ive been using for storage!

> 24 hourThis is one of the best purchases I have made. I bought this for my wife’s MacBook Air due to the paltry 128GB which this immediately alleviated that. What was a pleasant surprise is that I can also use this with my iPad Pro 2020. It took a good minute or two for the Files app to see it but it worked and is able to read and write files to it. The speeds are not very fast but I’m also not using high capacity files like 8k files but it is able to transfer 1080p and short 4K videos rather fast (maybe due to HEIC on iOS). For the price, I don’t care if I’m waiting an hour as many faster EHDs with far less storage are twice the price of this HD. I don’t remember having to format it to APFS (Mac/iOS) since the specs say this is NTFS but if you are using a Mac, use your Disk Utility and erase the disk to APFS so that it works for your Apple products. If you’re more well-rounded with your tech and also want to use it for PC use ExFAT for better interoperability. Excellent value for 2TBs BTW this is an HDD not SSD, I can hear it spin and whir when it is in use.

> 24 hourAfter happily using Seagate products for years, I tried the Backup Plus Slim 2TB. I found it very clumsy to work through a series of ads in the process of getting to set-up. I probably did something wrong, and never got to set-up. I returned the hard drive, and order this instead with the same capacity and price. This worked just as I expected-- just plug it in, see a 1/2-page of instructions (not really needed), and go. Very smooth. I downloaded a Windows 10 backup with difficulty.

> 24 hourIve had it for about 2 years and, in one sense, its been great. It never froze on me and transfers are relatively quick. I love the shock-absorption protective feature, and that the cable can be tucked into its corners. I also love how it feels to the touch. If not for one set-back, Id give it 5 stars. The product description didnt specify anything that would lead me to anticipate this problem. Im an actress and have some filmed material I deeply care about. I use this disk as a back-up, and it doesnt allow me to store certain films, the lighter of which is only 4.98GB. Now brace for this: the available space is at about 800GB!! According to a techs explanation, its somehow partitioned (if I remember correctly, because it can be used with Mac and PC - for me, this was a desirable feature), which makes it impossible to store anything with more than an X amount of bites, even if waaaaay less than the available space. This, for me, is HIGHLY inconvenient. The only way to work around it, I was told, is to back everything up, reformat it in a way that makes it only useable with one type of computer - either PC or Mac - then put everything back in. If you have no problems with the partitioned functioning or the reformatting, by all means, go for it. Its a great product.
