Item arrived timely, in good condition and was as advertized. I did not need tech support nor to contact the seller thus the average rating for support, otherwise, everything was top notch all the way. I recommended both the product and seller.

I have several other of these same portable hard drives and think theyre terrific. They are very durable and seem to last a long time with no problems.

Well see how this holds up, but for a shock proof enclosure the case materials feel cheap and fragile. One BIG issue is it has a non-standard computer side large USB connector on the device side (not the standard USB-3 spade with the little ridge in it). I was expecting a STANDARD USB-C to USB-3 cord, instead it is a non-standard cord with a little adapter. =( It works, but is incompatible with all other USB-3 drives I own.

This is a fantastic external hard drive. I use this to store my massive collection of movies, shows and my photos/videos. I have had this plugged in for many hours a day every day for months playing videos straight off of it and have had no over heating issues or any other problems. I am quite impressed and surprised at how reliable this hard drive has been. I have dropped it onto my hard wood floors and spilled coffee on it twice and it wasnt even phased. I would definitely recommend buying this to anyone in need of a tough and reliable external hard drive.

Silicon Power gets my vote for the best digital storage solutions on the market! This is the second unit I have gotten. The first one I bought a few years ago for travel and was a 1TB unit. As an underwater photographer I need to free up my memory cards for each dive. With this unit I upload my picture files to my laptop, then to the SP drive. That way I have two copies, one on my computer that I can edit, and the other is backed up on this solid state drive. Even if my laptop is stolen (God forbid), I havent lost any of my work. I bought the first one after my camera was stolen ( I work a lot in 3rd world countries) and I lost the last day of pictures which could never be replaced. I now use it as storage for my older laptop and use the new 2TB one for storage on my newer machine. These are military grade, a little larger than a pack of smokes, and have no moving parts to break. They are rugged and small to pack. Why would you risk someone hacking your files from the cloud when you have a better, safer alternative? 5 Stars all the way!!!

This became my go-to backup device which is very reliable and portable! Ive bought this twice for 5 years, for it is found to be very reliable and as well as portable. The only downside is the connection speed. ( I hoped it to be at least a USB-C or a thunderbolt connection with this price range.)

After happily using Seagate products for years, I tried the Backup Plus Slim 2TB. I found it very clumsy to work through a series of ads in the process of getting to set-up. I probably did something wrong, and never got to set-up. I returned the hard drive, and order this instead with the same capacity and price. This worked just as I expected-- just plug it in, see a 1/2-page of instructions (not really needed), and go. Very smooth. I downloaded a Windows 10 backup with difficulty.

Says it’s “plug and play” for mac or pc but I had to reformat for my mac. Wasn’t hard but wish it would’ve just told me upfront that is very misleading.

Needed a new External hard drive for backpacking and traveling around the world as I take a lot of photos/videos. Needed something that is rugged and be able to handle “shaking” and work with my laptop in different weather environments. Love the cable carry mechanism and information transfers great with the USB 3.0. Got the 2 TB external hard drive so ready to put this thing into further use!

I’m very happy with Silicon Power HDrives, buying them “on regular basis” (almost every year, when need more storage). Never had any issues. Thanks to the developer for the great products!
