> 3 dayThis is a great portable drive. I purchased the 2 TB. Case is very solid, with rubber bumpers at every corner. The bumpers also double for cable management, which is very clever. The drive runs cool and is completely silent. Mine came formatted in FAT32 (strange, considering the capacity), so I reformatted in NTFS. Some of the files that were preloaded on the drive wouldnt copy before the reformat, so be warned. I didnt use any of that anyway, so I dont care. I like this so much Ill probably buy a few more to replace older drives that I keep in my safe deposit box for monthly offsite system backups. No external storage case is really needed, since these are so durable with integrated cable management. I have used this using UBS 2.0 and 3.0, all works great. Recommended.

> 3 dayI purchased this drive because I was quickly running out of space on my PS4s internal storage. The drive was easy to set up, and I had no issues transferring my game data. Games actually seem to run faster off the external drive than they do on internal memory. Ive been using it fairly heavily for a week, and it seems very stable and reliable thus far. Will update if any issues arise.

> 3 dayI wanted a high capacity external USB-C hard drive, because I dont like to clog my laptops hard drive with files. The Silicone Power 1TB USB-C external hard drive fit the bill perfectly. It worked instantly right out of the box. I was transferring files to it a minute after I plugged it into my computers C port. I was surprised at how quickly large video files transferred to it and that it was fast enough to play back the videos I put on it without a hitch. It works seamlessly with the Win 10 file management system. The Silicone Power 1TB external hard drive is a great product that does exactly what it claims to do. I would definitely buy another one if the need arose.

08-06-2025I bought this to backup my media files. The storage capacity is perfect to hold everything and I feel secure knowing that it is shock resistant. I love that you can store the cable on the device. My only regret is spending the extra money for a USB-C cable because it doesnt work.

> 3 dayAs advertised. Connects via USB, if you can live with that.

> 3 dayThis product met my expectations for sure. The Hard Drive works well with no defections yet and it does seem very durable. I have a tendency to be clumsy so that does help!

> 3 dayWhen I received it I plugged it in and my iMac showed it in Finder but I couldnt save to it. I sent a support form to Silicon Power. Tech support is not top notch with some oddly translated questions. After my initial support request they sent me what I thought was a solution but they wanted me to fill out another support form. I finally found that my Armor 30 was formatted for Windows. Using Macs Disk Utility I erased and reformatted for Mac Journaled. Works great. As soon as its plugged into the USB port it is recognized and I can save files to it. Works between my MacBook Pro and iMac. The iMac OS is Mojave and the MBPro is Catalina.

> 3 dayThe unit is as rugged and compact as advertised. The USB 3.0 is very quick. We are using this to act as a second back up of documents and it is working flawlessly. I plugged it in and it came right up. The cord hooks into the case easily and is very convenient for carrying it off site. I was a little cautious because a low price can sometimes indicate low quality. .That is not the case here. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it without hesitation.

> 3 dayI bought this HD about a year and a half ago and it has performed great. I travel frequently and always take it with me and it is still holding up very well.

> 3 dayThis has been going strong for me for over a year now. I bought it when I was in Afghanistan so its been shipped around the world a couple times and it still works like new. While I havent dropped it yet, the shock proof design (they say its been tested) is the main reason I wanted this one. Ive lost hard drives in the past from giving them a little bump and I didnt want to lose another. It really does seem to be a rugged hard drive and I anticipate many more years of use. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who plans on moving the thing from time to time.
