> 24 hourThis is one of the best purchases I have made. I bought this for my wife’s MacBook Air due to the paltry 128GB which this immediately alleviated that. What was a pleasant surprise is that I can also use this with my iPad Pro 2020. It took a good minute or two for the Files app to see it but it worked and is able to read and write files to it. The speeds are not very fast but I’m also not using high capacity files like 8k files but it is able to transfer 1080p and short 4K videos rather fast (maybe due to HEIC on iOS). For the price, I don’t care if I’m waiting an hour as many faster EHDs with far less storage are twice the price of this HD. I don’t remember having to format it to APFS (Mac/iOS) since the specs say this is NTFS but if you are using a Mac, use your Disk Utility and erase the disk to APFS so that it works for your Apple products. If you’re more well-rounded with your tech and also want to use it for PC use ExFAT for better interoperability. Excellent value for 2TBs BTW this is an HDD not SSD, I can hear it spin and whir when it is in use.

> 24 hourThis became my go-to backup device which is very reliable and portable! Ive bought this twice for 5 years, for it is found to be very reliable and as well as portable. The only downside is the connection speed. ( I hoped it to be at least a USB-C or a thunderbolt connection with this price range.)

> 24 hourWhen I received it I plugged it in and my iMac showed it in Finder but I couldnt save to it. I sent a support form to Silicon Power. Tech support is not top notch with some oddly translated questions. After my initial support request they sent me what I thought was a solution but they wanted me to fill out another support form. I finally found that my Armor 30 was formatted for Windows. Using Macs Disk Utility I erased and reformatted for Mac Journaled. Works great. As soon as its plugged into the USB port it is recognized and I can save files to it. Works between my MacBook Pro and iMac. The iMac OS is Mojave and the MBPro is Catalina.

> 24 hourI bought this HD about a year and a half ago and it has performed great. I travel frequently and always take it with me and it is still holding up very well.

> 24 hourThis hard-drive is simple and easy to use, I bought the same drive over 4 years ago and use it nearly every day for work files and personal photos. I love it so much I made sure to get the same drive again, this new one is a back-up to the first since I travel with it often- in case anything happens... Great storage capacity, I use large photoshop files and have over 10,000 photos on it, and there’s still plenty of room for more. I love the rubber corners, great for durability and to keep the USB cord snug.

> 24 hourI received the product within a day of ordering. Worked great for what I needed. Is about the same size as a cell phone with a thicker case.

> 24 hourI have no worries when putting this in my house. I know it can take a beating. Its large capacity and safety shockproof and rugged aesthetics makes me feel i can use this without worry. Of course you should always be care with externals, but using this versus the unprotected ones really puts me at ease. Transfer wise, its not the fastest, but it gets the job done. Its main job is protecting the case which it does quite well.
