The problem is he was sneaking out in the wee hours of the AM and we didnt know (back yard is fenced in.) So we needed a lock and came to Amazon to find what we needed and this was it. > 3 dayI like to sleep with the window open at night-and I wanted something to stop the window from being opened wide enough for someone to crawl through. I have double hung windows and this product works as advertised. I would have liked it to have removable/reapable sticky pad on it. But the price was right and if I need to move it I can always buy more.
