Greater than one weekThe lock works good on a sliding glass door. I got this as a child lock that I can put up high so my son cannot open the sliding glass door. It was very easy to install!

> 3 dayI like to crack my sliding door but my dogs tend to lean on my screen so I use this to open it just enough for air flow and only their noses to poke through and give the air a sniff. They attach easily, are sturdy enough and are easily removable. Nice solution to my issue.

The problem is he was sneaking out in the wee hours of the AM and we didnt know (back yard is fenced in.) So we needed a lock and came to Amazon to find what we needed and this was it. Greater than one weekMy 2.5 year old knows how to open the window and turn off the manufactures child locks. I got this for an inch higher as added safety. Easy for me to turn on and off. I feel so much better he won’t go tumbling out windows now!
