> 24 hourBeautiful game - truly! Fun to play. The only thing is its mostly 1 player, so not really a family game. However we all (ages 3-33) enjoy playing it individually!

> 24 hourPositive: The game graphics are pretty good. Its Sonic. Negative: Sonic characters does not need vain dialogues with adult voice acts. Stage selection graphic is at PS1 level. Because game play boundary is unclear, I dont feel like to replay this game to discover different routes. The special color abilities make the game less Sonic like. Some stages are long while some other stages are very short. The control has become more complex and limited. In some game plays, you have no control of Sonic, and actually Sonic runs automatically. Overall: I picked up this game after reading IGN review describing it as The best new generation Sonic game. Honestly, I was disappointed. Sonic needs to go back to the origin by simplifying the control, getting rid of horrible dialogs, and setting clear in-game play boundaries.

> 24 hourWhen I heard that Sonic Colors was Segas best Sonic game in the last 10 years, I was skeptical. After playing it, I still dont think its the best game, but trust me, it makes it up there. The gameplay is just so fun and inventive, and the stages...well, Ill just say that the writers didnt name this game Sonic Colors for nothing! The plot involves Sonic and his buddy Tails having to stop an evil doctor from kidnapping a bunch of aliens called Wisps. With the help of an alien called Yacker, Sonic races to the aliens rescue. Using the wisps in gameplay, you can utilixe these really cool powers. Also, the script can be pretty witty. A great game overall!

> 24 hourI bought it for my daughter at her request. She cant stop playing it but the different levels are proving to be a challenge for her. The reason for my rating is, i have never played it so i could only rate it from my daughters point of view

> 24 hourThis is the best 3-D Sonic game. Lets just start there. Sonic Team finally dropped the gimmicks, the useless characters, and the over-the-top storylines and brought Sonic back to his roots while still utilizing the current-gen look and feel. A lot of what works here seems to have been inspired by Mario Galaxy, but that doesnt really bother me since the original Sonic for the Genesis was also a reaction to Mario. In this game, Sonic Team managed to find a camera system that works very well (whyd it take so long?), the controls are fine most of the time, and this is some of the best music - minus the opening theme song - that Jun Senoue has composed. For the first time in ages I enjoyed playing a Sonic game. The use of Wisps is very well done. While there are some levels where you need to use them to complete the stage, in others the Wisps are optional, and its great to be able to return to levels with new Wisp powers and find new areas. The added bonus of collecting red coins to open levels in the virtual Sonic stages is a very nice touch (although its best to play these levels by yourself, 2 player is kind of annoying). I hope that SEGA has enough success with this game that we get a sequel, and in that sequel I hope that some niggling bugs can get worked out. First, this game is short. There is great opportunity for replayability by finding all the red coins, but your first runthrough should be no more than 7 or 8 hours. Secondly, there is quite a bit of inconsistency in quality between levels. Some are very long, have a great pace and lots of hidden areas, but then youll hit two or three in a row that are ridiculously short, have little gimmicks in them that seemed designed to do nother more than kill you over and over, and are just not much fun. I dont want to spoil anything, but Ill just say that the final couple of levels and boss fights are remarkably irritating. It very much feels like Sonic Team either lost some of their inspiration towards the end, or just ran out of time. But after such a long stretch of terrible Sonic games, its hard for me to stay mad at Sonic Colors less endearing quirks for too long. This is a huge step in the right direction, and I only hope that future versions of this series expand on what has been developed here.

> 24 hourI had intended to buy this on release day. But after 3 family deaths, a near divorce and financial trouble, my dream seemed unlikely. But I bought this to play as a laugh. I lost my original reason. When it arrived, I got off the phone with a help hotline. I got the Wii prepped, started the game and felt a sort of happiness from playing video games. As I played through two levels, I felt happy to be back to normal, like I was revived from a dormant state So far, Tropical Resort is what I cleared so far. I found out that there are 2 ways to play (Wiimote and Nunchuk, and horizontal Wiimote) I admit that a mere video game cannot erase tragedy, but distractions do alleviate temporary feelings

> 24 hourGot this for my five year old and he picked it up pretty well (at least the beginning levels). I even enjoy playing it, though not being familiar with Sonic games, it is a different experience being so fast paced.

Super turtle power
> 24 hourThis game helps drag the Sonic team out of the hole they were making for themselves. Lets start off with the pros: 1)There are amazing graphics. Sometimes you wish the game would just stop playing and you could sit back and look at every detail. The best graphics are in Starlight carnival, which is my favorite world by far. The graphics are simply amazing. Sometimes the game takes over for you at some points and instead of concentrating on the controller you can concentrate on the graphics. One thing that stinks about the graphics is that there are no turtles dancing in the background. But, other than that, the graphics are great. 2)The next thing that is great is the game play. There are controls that make sense. And, if you are a GameCube fan like me, than if you have a GameCube controller you can play with that, too. You can also play with a classic controller, but I think playing with either a nunchuk or by holding the remote sideways. Another cool thing about the game play is the wisps. Different wisps give you different powers. My favorite wisp is the green one which allows you to hover. At the end of each act you will get ranked on how well you did it. The best rank is S and the worst is D. 3)The next good thing is the Sonic Simulator, which allows you and a friend to play together in special levels. What is cool about this is that you can combine wisps with another person to make a totally different power. The way to get these special levels is by collecting red coins in the other levels. The first time you collect enough you will get an option of playing as your Mii. The Miis look pretty stupid though because they are dressed like Sonic. 4)The final Pro is the 3D. The 3D is cool. While you are in 3D then at times you can quick step or drift. A lot of the game is in 3D but some parts are 2D. I like the 3D better because there are more things you can do. But when switching to 2D from 3D the game puts a natural shift to it. The Cons go as following: 1)You do not have the option of playing as Tails even though he is in the game. You should also have the option of playing as turtles. 2)Sometimes in boss battles Sonic is shown too small so it is hard to see what to do and where you are. 3)Some wisps are uncontrollable. 4)There is a bad storyline. The storyline is childish and it makes you suspend your disbelief. 5)The music gets annoying because it is very repetitive. All in all this game is worth getting for the price. It is not over priced and is a good game. Turtles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
