Greater than one weekThis game is BEAUTIFUL. The graphics are amazing and the game lives up to its name. SO MANY COLORS. But, my only complaint is that sonic is a little hard to control at times but other than that, this game is one of the best on the wii. (I have a wii u but it still works.)

> 3 dayI was skeptical about this when I bought it when it came out. There hadnt been a good sonic game since Adventure 2, but each game showed some promise (I.e. the running parts of Sonic Unleashed). Sonic Colors took all of those promising aspects and turned this into a great game. It is a high speed platformer most of the time, but changing gears every now and then to keep things interesting, which is more than welcome. The graphics are gorgeous, but with a name like Colors they better be. The alien wisps you can use for powers are a nice change for the series, allowing all sorts of new types of gameplay, but they are not overused to the point where they are annoying. A solid game and probably the second best 3D Sonic. Adventure 2 is still better

> 3 dayThis is a really good game. Sega managed to make Sonic great again with this one. The wisps make a good gimmick for this game as they have these crazy powers that are their life source, and they let Sonic use their powers to help save their friends. They’re definitely fun to use, but for me, the pink spike wisps can be a little hard. The setting of an interstellar amusement park that Eggman created is pretty cool, even though it is evil, and each of the stages are awesome too.

Greater than one weekConsole Sonic games have always been notorious for being horrible. Sonic Colors changes that. Presentation of the game is superb. Level selection is reminiscent of Super Mario Galaxy. Its easy to navigate and select worlds and levels. All without having to deal with horrible hub worlds that plagued all the past 3D Sonic games. The story is very light and not very serious. But the way its portrayed is like that of a classic Sonic game. Youll also find some actual funny humor in the game. Though thats because the writing is coming from writers of Happy Tree Friends and Madworld. The graphics are superb. Some of the best looking for the Wii. Everything is vibrant, colorful and very nice to look at. Now music in this game has got to be one of my favorite Sonic soundtracks ever. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the musical score. Most of the tracks are very catchy and fitting to their level. Even the level selection music for Starlight Carnival is over a minute in a half of original music that doesnt repeat (and not to mention very catchy). The voice acting is also wonderful. The voices were replaced with more professional actors, so now the dialogue sounds much better. Gameplay is the most important part about this game, and the one thing everyone was worried about. I have to say its the most fun Ive had with a Sonic game in over a decade. The controls take a few minutes to get used to, but they end up feeling very tight and fun. Way better than any other 3D Sonic game. Its classic 2D platforming with some 3D styled platforming. Gameplay also stays fresh with all of the Wisp abilities theyve introduced into the game. It never gets old and always feels fun to play. One thing that you need to watch out for is difficulty. It really ramps up later in the game and youll need to be prepared for it. Since they throw in some cheap deaths in certain spots. But that shouldnt hinder your intention of buying the game. Sonic Colors is a very fun game. One of the best Sonic games Ive played. Way better than Sonic 4: Episode 1 was. If youve been ditching Sonic for the last 10 years then you dont know what youre missing if you skip this game out. Its not in the same league as Super Mario Galaxy, but its a game thats well worth your time. More so than any other Sonic game out there. Pros: Gameplay Soundtrack Graphics Wisp abilities keep things fresh Cons: Steep difficulty near the end

> 3 dayI purchased this game because my son loves Sonic. But the game is too fast and not a lot of action, really - just running (ironically its what its known for) even still, Previous versions had a little more action to it. He loves it, nonetheless (thats because he knows nothing about Sega Genesis:-)!

> 3 dayif youve been disappointed with sonic games since the dreamcast then sonic colors certainly gives some hope for the blue hedgehog, its a fun game with a nice variety environments and gamestyles. It feels much more of a true sonic game than sonic 4 did and that has been missing for a long while. Definitely worth a purchase for wii owners

15-04-2025I gave this to my grandson, Tyler, for his birthday. He absolutely loves it! He has played it every day since he got it. He has limited time on the Wii, but he plays Sonic Colors the entire time. I think this was a fabulous gift for him.
