Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Premium Noise Canceling Overhead Headphones with Mic for Phone-Call and Alexa Voice Control, Black WH1000XM4

I like the fit. Bluetooth connects right away & was easy to set up. I use the headphones with my iPad and iPod.

You for sure know how loud and annoying the asphalt drills are. Today I was jogging and passed by one of them at first I was like why am I still hearing the noise (it was way lower than the actual tho)? Then I realized the noise cancelling was off, turned it on and boom I was only hearing the music, just a litttttle little little like a chirping of a bird could be still heard. Removed the headphones and I almost was going deaf lol. I was sooooo amazedd thought I will definitely leave a review. Its expensive but.... :)

For summary, I don’t think this device deserves $350. I am not angry with SONY but a bit unimpressed. MX4 is not far away from MX3. If you are an average consumer like me, an $130 AirPods or $150 another NC headphones will be a similar experience. I am still debating if I want to keep MX4 or return it. It’s just not good enough.

I bought these because my 5 of my friends all have these xm4s and rave about them being the best headphones out so I decided to grab these on prime day.

The device does not link to Bluetooth, making a large part of the tdevice not helpful

It’s a fine product when it works. Pairs with multiple devices. Great noise canceling. The touch pad is a bit wonky to use though. Buttons would be better.

These are great ANC headphones, overall. I have tried many ANC earbuds and over-the-ear, and the ANC in the Sonys is really good. My only complaint, and I feel a big one, is how the ANC changes behavior while using the microphone. Due to the design, when you are using the microphone, the unit allows much more ambient noise into the headphones because of how many microphones it has and what it can do for ANC vs user microphone pickup. I have talked to Sony tech support, and this is essentially a built-in limitation. I hope someone from Sony reads this and helps elevate the issue so the user can at least select how the microphone is used with ANC to minimize the increased ambient noise with microphone use. Better yet, fix the problem. I will actually switch headphones for long phone calls because of this issue. Super disappointed on this.

I wish I read the top review for these headphones before buying, but I was persuaded by a close friend to give them a shot. I agree with everything in the top review, even the headaches caused by these headphones. After 6 hours its just irritating and I have to take them off to give my head a break. I tried them for a month but just couldnt adjust.

The headphones sound great when they work. I mostly use them at home with my TV, and they have an issue with the sound about 1/3 of the time. The sound goes off-sync, and it also has an issue with the speaker inside the headphones sounding like they broke and I don’t know why. For something that I paid nearly 400$ for it’s not worth. I’ll be returning them.
