Going to be every honest here I got them so I didnt have to hear all the noise in my house. It was very underwhelming with the main features it claimed it provide. I could hear people talking right in front of me while music was on, at that point I knew it was NOT headphones for me. The music quality was just okay not worth 300 more like 125. Dowloaded the app to mess around with the settings, took pics of my ears as requested and still not very good. I returned them and going to to look elsewhere. Also, the headphones themselves looked like they wouldnt hold up for more than a year or so, just from handling them. The headphone plastic portions made sounds like bad breaks on a car. No thank you who wants to walk around sounding like that some others stated just be still. But wbat if you have to go to the bathroom? Or move seats on the bus? Haha

im a 23 year old who recently found out they were on the spectrum. i live in front of the elevator of an extremely noisy apartment complex. i had to deal with screaming neighbors and barking dogs and it was a lot of sensory input that made me extremely anxious and on edge. it was overwhelming and often left me in a bitter mood. my life improved the second i put these headphones on. i can still hear the dogs barking at times, but i NEVER hear talking or yelling or even doors slamming. i feel oblivious to the world. even the sound of my air conditioning disappears and the vent fan in my bathroom is easier to handle. i used to never turn on the vent fan (which was bad for when my bathroom was steamy as it would cause problems obviously). now i can handle the noisiness and its not too overwhelming. i’m not really an expert on headphones, but i am a self-proclaimed expert on sensory overload. these headphones make my life much easier to enjoy. if you’re looking for a solution to sensory overload, i would absolutely recommend these!

sound quality is okay. when linked to my phone, it was great when streaming movies in my house but when walking outside, wind was amplified and i turned up the volume more than i normally would. didnt get much use for music bc it sounded a bit tinny. my mic was atrocious for conference calls online and the top of my head hurt after wear - i found myself in pain after 10 to 15 minutes. i eventually found myself not using these after the first few weeks, especially since my colleagues consistently gave feedback that they couldnt hear me (mic was just awful). overall, i didnt feel these offer any benefits since they are so uncomfortable and the mic was useless for conference calls.

These headphones will destroy all the music you know and love. They will also allow you to listen to that music on an airplane. So that is the deal. You have to come to some bizarre EQ settings to find them listenable at all. Any $20 pair of headphones will be better for music. If you think “I’ll use them for my main headphones AND use them on the plane.” Ha ha... no. These are terrible every day headphones. These are airplane/construction zone only headphones.

Great active sound canceling. I wish the headphones had a deeper cavity for ones ears as these are quite painful to wear after awhile compared to my bose headphone as these press on the surface of my ears. Try before you buy. Will be keeping them though as they are ok for short durations. Tested on a plane recently; the feature where you can cover one side and have it amplify ambient sounds without hitting pause is really cool. No complaints on noise cancelling. Just make sure it wont hurt your ears or it may negate the benefits.

The noise cancelation on these headphones are second to none. Having daily driven a pair of Bose QC35s over the last couple of years I have been more than impressed with the Sonys noise cancelation (the Bose are great, these are outstanding). The audio quality is also fantastic, with great clarity across the spectrum. I highly recommend them.

I recently made the mistake of buying an off-brand ANR bluetooth headset for about US$50. The sound quality was horrible, indeed, there was no quality. It was as if the earcup loudspeaker was actually located *outside* the earcup and I was trying to hear it through the passive earcups. Horrible. So, I immediately returned it and bought this Sony unit.
