> 3 dayThese taps appear to be high quality, but the hooks are NOT connected to the spout. Meaning there is nothing preventing the hooks & spouts from easily being lost from each other.

> 3 dayA little spendy, but worked perfectly for our first maple tapping season. Make sure you use the correct drill bit size, otherwise you will have issues with it plugging.

Greater than one weekA little pricey, but durable and worked perfectly. Just wish I had more than two days of running sap when I decided to use them.

> 3 dayExcellent taps, but hooks are too small and there is no way to accommodate a lid. I ended up zip tying the lids to the hooks, but next year I will have to look for another hook system as it is too small to hold the bucket safely. (one was knocked off and spilled about 1.5 gallons of sap)

Greater than one weekmake sure you have the drill bit . this one came with the kit . I used a hand drill but a cordless would have helped. Also mark the bit with a marker or tape for depth. The sap was dripping out as soon as I thumped it in so make sure the cleaned buckets are ready. If you use a plastic bucket bungie it to the tree or its self strong winds might blow it away before it fills with sap. Once sap flows strong make sure you check every day I was getting more than 2 gallons out of the big trees. They came out easy enough with using plyers turn back and forth then pull. Tree show little sign of damage now in August. Wash everything in bleach and dry fully before storing it in one of the top buckets youll do alright. Always make sure you sugar down the sap to syrup outside until you reach the 1/4 point. The darker it is the sweeter its going to be. Easer than putting up jam.
