09-04-2025I like these taps. I drilled a 5/16 hole, tapped tree, added some tubing, and hung milk jugs from the hook. Sap flowed well. Removal is easy and the clean up is easy with some hot water.

> 3 dayThese work fine but They are way over priced for a piece of stainless steel tubing that’s flared and rimmed. Think I’m gonna make my own going forward.

> 3 dayI am quite impressed with the quality of this item. I am glad I decided to purchase these stainless steel type instead of the black plastic ones I was considering. These are obviously machined from thick walled stainless stock. There is a slight taper on the side intended to go into the tree. That side is approximately 1 1/2 (37mm) long. The side that receives the hose measures at exactly 1 (26mm) long. Please see the picture I attached to this review. We have two maple trees in our yard. This will be the first spring my sons and I have tried tapping and sugaring them. Looking forward to the sweet results!

> 3 dayThis product is great. We use it to tap birch trees. There are sturdy and do not rust easily. You would definitely need a hammer to get in the tree though.
