> 3 dayNever thought Id see the day where I got excited by a new tape measure. But I did for the simple reason of its clearer to read than any other Ive had before. The other bonus is when measuring over say more than a few feet on your own it dont start twisting and turning on you driving you nuts! Perfect for people with only one pair of hands! ;)

> 3 dayWe had lost our previous Stanley measure so bought this to replace it. It’s very substantial, locks well and not too cumbersome. Would recommend it

08-06-2025This is a great long tape measure and the tape is wider and thicker than the 5m version making more durable over the longer lengths. It lost one star because a) the fix button to stop it retracting doesnt work very well at all on my unit and b) the downside of the wider thicker ape is that it tends to twist when in use and measuring can take four or five attempts to keep it straight. But I do recommended this product

> 3 daySometimes you need to measure 8m, well in my case I needed to measure about 6m and the 5m tape just wasn’t up to the job and I wasn’t going to add a 1m tape and do maths, thats just stupid. So instead I went for the easy option and bought this. In all seriousness, it’s a decent tape, robust, takes knocks well, very accurate and won’t rip your hand off when you press the retract button!

> 3 dayI bought a fancy laser tape measure, it was five times the price. The laser feature never worked, so I returned it and bought this. This one is very sold and works great.

> 3 dayI do like a good tape measure because the ones I normally buy are magic and keep disappearing. A while ago I was measuring a window to put up some blinds and put my tape measure down, turned around and then back again and it had gone...when I do DIY I seem to spend 75% of my time looking for tools. This tape measure works really well. I had a gap which I didnt know how big the gap was. I measured it with this tape measure and felt extremely smug afterwards as I then knew for certain the gap was 1.37m....absolutely over the moon because the piece of wood I had was 1.4m. Now thats a good job good done good.
