> 3 dayWhen this dropped through my letterbox to the floor, some of the testosterone escaped from the packaging. As I approached the front door, I began to beat my chest and grunt incoherently. Upon opening the packaging, my adrenaline levels rose. So much so, that I had to have a sit down with a cup of sugary tea and a biscuit before I dare attempt to pull the tape out. Once my testosterone and adrenaline levels had reduced to a safe level, I investigated further. I consider myself a tape measure expert, being fully adept at pulling and retracting the measuring tape in an efficient manner. Those new to tape measure should beware though. You need to have the guts to start measuring with this beast. I suggest those new to tape measures use metric to begin with, then move on to the newer imperial measurement method once comfortable. You might get away with saying 98cm to a city boy, but you need to be comfortable saying 3 foot and 5/8ths of an inch if you want to get real respect. Although the tape is advertised as 26 feet long, I believe it to be infinite. Ive wrapped it three times round my house now with no signs of the tape diminishing. Granted, its a bungalow, but it does have a loft conversion. The final strawberry on the icing on the cake is the handy clip that allows you to attach it directly to a belt. Being right-handed, I keep it on the right side, so Im always ready to measure. It did mean I had to move my phone holster to my left side, but its a small price to pay. In fact, Im finding I get called day any night now, being asked if I wouldnt mind measuring something for them. Of course, its really just a rouse on their part to get me round so they can look at my Stanley. But I dont mind. Im somewhat of a local star now, having appeared in the local newspaper. Actually, that was for something else... So in summary, this is a life-changing addition to your toolbox/trousers. Ill leave it up to you to decide whether you are tough enough to handle it.

> 3 dayGreat product, hubby loves it, but too bulky for lady hands,so if your not buying for a man,you would be better getting a smaller and shorter length one. Overall great so far.

> 3 dayThis is a very high quality tape measure. I kept buying the cheaper ones thinking i could save money but that doesnt always work out. They either bend too easily and get kinks in or get jammed. So, i went and paid more for this good quality one. Glad i did as this should last a long time. So if you are on the look out for a tape measure get a good one. It will save you money in the long run. I learnt my lesson!

> 3 dayRugged, tough and well built. Hopefully it will last a long time but I guess thats why you pay more for a Stanley..

> 3 dayGood tape measure and its quite big and weighty. I prefer the 2.5mm tape width as it is less likely to bend or collapse as you measure. There was no original packaging only a plastic sleeve but the packaging ends up in the recycling bin anyway and if you need instructions to operate a tape measure, then maybe you shouldnt be using one!

> 3 dayThese tape measures are great value and, as one would expect from the Stanley brand, good value. I purchased three of these to mark out carpark Pickleball courts: the 26 feet length was ideal for laying out the 20 feet by 22 feet (x2) court quickly and accurately. We laid out half-a dozen courts with these measures over a month with no issues. Just a generic reminder about these sort of measures - ensure that they do not get wet, and if they do, dry before retracting!
