Strathmore 566-8 500 Series Hardbound Mixed Media Art Journal, 8.5x11 32 Sheets

Very very good quality. But I had to return as it was too big for my needs. Excellent product though.

This item is 48 pages only if you count both sides of the page...but if you want to tear a page out to frame you will only be using one of the sides, hence 24 pages only if you are thinking some of the sketches might be worth framing. I was very disappointed about that. On the other hand the quality of this paper is sturdy enough for mixed media and has the perfect amount of sizing to accept most media without soaking in and bleeding or too much size which would lead to too easy pooling.

Love this paper, so far I have had no bleed through. Ive used watercolor, watercolor pencils, sharpie pens, copic markers, tombow markers, Montana paint pens.... So much more but these are the messiest I could think of. Also matte gel, gesso..

The quality of the paper Is good. It is hard back and the paper is thick enough for paint and ink.

First of all, let me say that Ive been looking around for a long time for a good mixed media sketchbook. Ive tried Canson, Holbein, and Strathmore. Canson did horrible with watercolors, Holbein was a bit too yellowed for my taste, and the Strathmore sheets had an unpleasant texture to them. These are all personal opinions, I must add.

The toned paper is thick enough and it is great for drawing on. I love my new sketch book, it is all i needed it to be

I absolutely love the feel of the paper and the hardback. This is great for sketches, and the texture is great for multiple media types. I keep this close by, and sketch in it whenever I can. I cant wait to fill it up! Its really a good product, and I will probably buy another when I have finished with this one.
