Paper has decent tooth. Recommend only graphite on this paper. This is not suitable for ink sketch. Hard cover is durable and feels nice under the fingers, like semi-glossy paper, not plastic. 192 pages so if youre trying to do a daily sketch (365) youll want to do front and back. Nice size for popping into a bag on your way out the door. Easy to attach a loop for a pencil.

This mixed media paper is top tier! You can do anything with this sketchbook. It takes wet media VERY well and is still really great for pencil and other dry media. Nice ‘tooth’ to the paper and is archival quality

I am very happy with this sketchbook. The paper quality is very good and it can take watercolor like a champ; even on both sides of the same sheet. I have yet tested it with alcohol markers, but would imagine some bleedig will occur. Overall very nice everyday sketchbook.

I bought this sketch book for letterboxing. Its perfect for outdoor use! The paper is smooth for ink to spread evenly and dry quickly and not too smooth to smear. The hard cover can also be used for a board for writing. The only con is not able to write in rain.

I actually bought this sketchbook at my local art store. I been meaning to try this out mainly because I wanted to keep all my watercolor drawings in a book other than loose leaf pages.

I work primarily in watercolor, journal avidly and regularly sketch out in the field - this is my favorite sketchbook. Its smooth and doesnt tear up my micron pens, so I can comfortably write to my hearts content. It holds up to multiple washes of watercolor and has yet to bleed or pill up on me at all...despite that its a thin weight, so its light enough to carry in my field bag, and it has plenty of pages so Im free to play around in it without each page feeling as precious as the typical 10-20 page watercolor juournals do.

Nice thick pages for art journaling with mixed media. I would love if they made like this in white.

This is a perfect product for art journaling where a person wants to use wet media like watercolor as well as paper collage, oil pastels, etc. It is 140 lb. paper. While the smaller size of this journal is workable, my last one was 5x7 with a vertical orientation. The binding is strong and I havent had pages come loose. This journal is workable.

This journal was as expected from Strathmore. The paper is thick enough to allow me to use wet or dry but not too much wet. Some paint markers will bleed through.
