Strathmore Toned Mixed Media Paper Toned Grey 9X12-15 Sheets -62462309

Im so happy with this paper. I bought it to use with gouache, and it takes it so well! The paper stays intact and it seems to take many layers well. It even took a couple layers of alcohol markers well. No complaints, Im going to buy more soon.

Bought three of these, one was missing 2 pages. For the cost, thats a lot. I also recently bought a few of the regular water color paper in this same brand and size/style from my local craft store, and some of those were also missing pages. Quality control for Strathmore is really lacking. But otherwise, the paper itself, assuming you get it all, is good.

If worried about detaching pages. Don’t. They aren’t perforated but easily detach.

I bought this and the tan version of the same paper to make my own Zentangle tiles. The branded Zentangle renaissance tiles are too expensive for me so I cut this into 3.5 x 3.5 squares and it works perfectly. Its s lovely shade and the paper is perfect for drawing on.

Bought this to bind into a sketchbook to replace the hannemuhle toned tan for cheaper and it definitely does the job! If you prefer hot press WC paper this will feel about the same to work with. It can also take a generous amount of general abuse, feel free to erase as many times as you need!! A small heads-up, the gum binding it comes with can sometimes detach from the backboard during transit. If that doesnt bother you then enjoy

Just what I expected.

Very stiff paper for mixed media use

First time Ive tried Strathmore paper and I wasnt disappointed. Its good quality and sturdy. Ive had no problems with buckling and I do mixed media, watercolour, acrylic, crayon, pencil, gelli printing and more.

I like this paper alot. However it didnt perform that great for watercolor. So keep that in mind if you are going to use it for that, I would get a different paper. But overall Im happy with this paper. I like toned grey over toned tan. I think my artwork looks better.
