This is a really great, heavy mixed media paper. I have this 140lb pad and the 90lb version. Both are good quality.I use the 140lb for sharpie art and as the cover when I want to bind my own art jounral. If you want to hand embroider through the paper, use the 90lb, the 140 is way to thick for me to get a needle through.

This was not what I was expecting. I was expecting the sheer vellum sheets. Instead it is thick paper with a very smooth side and the other not quite as smooth. It seems more like watercolor paper to me. That being said, it is WONDERFUL for my die cuts. A very sturdy paper that gives depth. So while not what I was expecting, its really nice and I will buy more when this is used up. I just didnt know what I was looking at.

dont get me wrong - I love these papers BUT the image is of 9x12 mixed media paper, no where else in title offering is size indicated BUT the actual item is 6x8!!!! BEWARE of this, you may, like me, be ordering the wrong item for yourself or your students. Two stars because of the OBVIOUS discrepancy

Strathmore Mixed Media is one of my favorite papers to use so I was elated when they started producing it in various tones. I work with multiple media on this paper such as colored pencils, watercolors, inktense, liquid ink, and graphite. This paper holds up well to all of them. I love the tooth, it is perfect for accepting multiple colored pencil layers but smoother than watercolor paper so you avoid the graininess when working with CP. See attached drawing I did using Prismacolors. The paper accepts wet media very well, they do offer a heavy duty Mixed Media paper if you are worried about oversaturation or warping/buckling, however I havent had an issue. I absolutely recommend adding this paper to your materials.

This is nice mixed media paper and it is fun to work on a dark background at times. Its an exceptional value and I am very happy with it.

I was a little skeptical about this paper when it arrived. It is incredibly smooth, so I was worried about building colour. Pencil crayon layers amazingly well on this paper, but make sure you use quality pencil crayons! Some of my cheaper pencils didnt work as well. Highlights look incredible. The paper is really thick and tears away easily. Think I have a new favorite!
