Be aware that this really has a vellum (smooth) finish. Its not misleading as it says so, but I didnt pay enough attention. The paper does not have any tooth. The cover little picture looks like it has been done on a toothy surface, but thats not what you get. So I dont feel its appropriate for charcoal or pastels. I dont think Ill use it for watercolor either, although maybe you could if you dont mind the smooth finish. It is nice heavy paper, and I like the tone. Ill use it for color pencil, I think. Ill try it with pen and ink, and see. Its not a waste, just not exactly what I hoped for. But I didnt read carefully enough.

i thought that the paper would be blue, it is closer to a gray scale paper. I am using the paper for my drawings.

Used this paper for acrylics, and also for framing. Came back a year later to order more.

Really needs to be more clearly specified that its black

Im not a great artist but enjoy sketching and doing small water colors when I travel. This is high quality sketching paper and very capable water color paper. It does not over soak. The texture is very light and it shows detail nicely.

The bind of the book was broken so the cover was barely attached and every page falls out X2
