Awesome light. Second one Ive had because I lost the first one. Insanely bright when you need it and just right for everyday use. The batteries can get expensive, so get a set of rechargeable. I will have a surefire light for life.

I purchased this light to carry in my pocket for work. It fits perfectly and is not too big. The dual settings are great, use low setting like a normal light then if need more light use the high output setting. Only con to it I feel is that when in high output the flashlight can get somewhat warm, but other than its a great light!

Perhaps no other company in the flashlight industry has a track record and renowned named as Surefire. I was in need of a quality handheld and had been hearing only good things about Surefire for many years without having ever owned one. After much research and even considering models twice the price of this one, I went with the Surefire G2X Pro Dual Output LED Flashlight, Black because of so many positive reviews and the fact that it is definitely compatible with the Picatinny Flashlight Mount (also made by Surefire). I am 100% happy with my purchase. Side by side with my old double D-cell cop flashlight this is truly a marvel of technology. Being about 1/3 the length, 2/3 the diameter, the Surefire outperforms it in every way. The G2X Pro has 2 different output levels. The standard one is the low power, and to bump it up to 120 Lumens you simply tap the On button on the rear of the flashlight twice. 120 Lumens doesnt seem like a lot for these kinds of flashlights in this day and age, but having tested it on myself and others, it can certainly be blinding to another person at dark. Summary: Moderately-priced dual-output up to 120 Lumens of Surefire quality. Big bang, small package, low price. Though it may seem more powerful lights could be leaving this one in the dust, it actually holds its own as a very bright all-purpose flashlight that IS compatible with the Surefire Picatinny Flashlight Mount for rifles. 5 stars.

I currently own three of these flashlights - for my car, home, and mobile toolbox. Its a great product that puts out an amazing amount of light (in fact, the low setting is sufficient for many tasks). Its built like a tank, yet is lightweight to carry. As it uses primary lithium cells instead of alkaline, worries about leaking batteries are eliminated and shelf life is significantly enhanced.

This flashlights beam shines a long distance. I love it for locating my dog after dark in the yard. It is also great for night time walks, low beam works for this.. My only issue is with the lithium batteries. They last a long time, but the fact that the batteries arent supposed to go on air plains, or in postal packages that must be sent my air, is a downside for me. I like taking my Surefire with me. As for the cost, they are a little costly, but well worth it.

Great light, carried one for many years and since my dad was always bumming that little light I bought him one of his own. We both work after dark so, due to its size and power, this light is extremely convenient to use/carry and a must have for people that work outside at night. I will suggest if youre going to use this light for actual work/outdoorsman activities spend $20 more and buy the holster as well. In short...Great light output, extremely durable, light weight, compact, bang for your buck. Edit: I have now outfitted 3 family members with these lights, we all love them and carry them daily. They have replaced the Mag-Lite mini mags we all used to know and love.

in the world of cheap disposable lights i was skeptical about buying this light. It was rated for 300 lumens, so i bought it and a 300 lumen comparable size Chinese light. This light far surpassed the cheap light if build quality, which I was assuming it would. Next lets look at brightness. both on brand new batteries, surefire had new surefire brand 2x cr-123s, while i used a brand new AA Duracell in the former. The surefire spot projected around 55-75 yards effectively, while the Chinese adjustable one was around 45-60 yards. The only down fall is the cr-123s though i will be getting a single 18650 and running it with rechargeable batteries. ok update. i had this light stolen on vacation in Florida. I then bought a streamlight polytac, and the 5th time i turned the streamlight on it did not do anything. I am now 2 calls, 1 email into trying to get this $64 pos replaced. So i have ordered another surefire!

Im a firefighter and I have it mounted my helmet. Its very bright on high setting. Low setting works great for close up work as well.

I now have three and at $50 each that may sound like a bit of money for flashlights. An LED Mag light will cost over $30 and many of those multi-bulb led flashlights will cost $20 and up. And this light is so much brighter than any of the former. In the low output level it still lights up a dark room and so far, almost 3 months since I purchased the first one, I have not had to change batteries. Im sure I will be buying a couple more of these as the few remaining cheapie LEDs die off.
