Heavy long interface cable used for live shoots via a computer over time broke the USB port on my Canon EOS T3i. Canon gets an F for not coming up with a means to support their interface cables. Glad someone stepped in and did it for them.

I cant believe I waited so long to purchase one of these. I tether my 7D with Adobe Lightroom on my tablet. I previously ran into issues with the long USB cable falling out of my camera and stopping the work flow. Ive had the opportunity to use this recently for an on location, corporate headshot session. Once connected, I was able to forget about the cable and focus on getting the shot.

Expensive, but I feel better protecting the port.

I purchased this JerkStopper so that while charged my Sony A7RII, the USB cord wouldnt inadvertently be pulled out of the camera while I was shooting. I also have one connected to a longer USB cable I use when I shoot tethered to a computer. The JerkStopper works great for both purposes. Its design accommodates different gauges of cables. I believe this will also help to better protect the USB port on my camera as it appears that if/when the USB port on my camera becomes loose due to the plugging/unplugging, I anticipate the JerkStopper will prevent unwanted USB disconnections. I highly recommend this product.

These gadgets are great at keeping your camera and you computer securely connected when you are shooting tethered. Ive used them a couple times and found them to be high quality performers at what they do. Ive not had any inadvertent disconnections since Ive been using them.

Does what its supposed to do.

I wasnt sure how Id like this but it does secure the laptop and safeguards it from getting accidentally pull off the table. Instructions are a little vague but I figured it out.

If youve invested in a tether cable for your camera and want to prevent it getting unplugged or having the cable wear near the attachment (or worse, the camera input itself being damaged) then this is a fantastic product. When not shooting tethered the portion that stays attached to the camera doesnt get in the way of normal operation, and it work super well when shooting tethered. I am a professional boudoir/ portrait photographer and this little guy has changed my darn life.
