> 3 daygrowing up i remember watching this movie on late night tv and loving it. flynn plays george custer with just the right amount of over inflated ego , just as the history books say he was. he knows hes good and want everything around him to be the same. the beautiful olivia de havilland in her last teaming with flynn is libby custer a woman who loves her man so much and would do anything for him. these two actors were one if the great screen couples and the last scene they have as custer is leaving for the little big horn and his fate, you can feel the love of these two both knowing that hes never going to come back. i think it ranks up there with the scene at the airport is casablanca.

> 3 dayHere is a movie that was reviewed on the History Channel as being historically accurate. It may be accurate but it is also one of Errol Flynns best. This movie has great acting and great actors. It is great for the whole family. Another great movie from the golden era of the movies.

> 3 daySo many times has Hollywood made films about life/career stories of American Generals. Take Patton for instance. Need I say more? A wonderful film in itself but, not completely accurate. Hollywood, in the 40s, could not make a movie like Saving Private Ryan. I applaud this movie for the horror and ugliness of war that it portrays. A movie like that made in the 40s would have killed morale and faith in the American war machine. That is why history needs a boost per say and a little inaccuracy for spice. This an example of just that. This is a fine story of one of Americas heroes of the Civil War and the Wild West. Hollywoods rendition of his life was fairly true and the history involved in the battle was not. This film, however, was a great couple of hours of action and a little romance. Another fine classic for all Errol Flynn fans to own. He was made for this role.
