Thule Load Straps for Roof Mount Racks

> 3 dayThese cinch-down straps are superior to the ones sold at big box hardware stores. Thule makes outstanding racks, and these straps share the quality. These straps are clearly stronger and sturdier than the inexpensive store-bought straps. A rubber sleeve slides over the buckle to prevent scratching boat or vehicle. There was even a happy surprise: I always secure tag ends of tie down straps to prevent the tag ends flapping in the wind and scratching the vehicle, but cheap store-bought strap tag ends sometimes work loose and flap despite my efforts. These thicker, sturdier Thule straps do not work loose and flap. Also, cheaper hardware store straps eventually fray, these Thule straps appear to be longer lived.

> 3 dayMy dad has used these for YEARS, for kayak transport and storage: about 4 years ago I bought two sets of these straps in different lengths, for tying my 11.5ft kayak to the roof of my car, and for hanging it up on the wall in the garage. Theyve never given me a lick of trouble, and they last a hecka long time.

> 3 dayI do not think I have ever written a product review but I have been using these straps for years and they are hands down the best straps for just about anything. I prefer the 9 foot ones as they go perfectly over a kayak without too much extra to tie down. Really reliable, easy to use straps

> 3 dayThese are top-notch well-made load straps. The biggest bonus are the rubber sleeves that fit over the buckles, protecting your vehicle when the straps are thrown, released, or tightened down to the rack and vehicle. I use these for carrying kayaks on my SUV roof and they are great. Get the longer straps; you can also wrap up/tie off any slack left over.

> 3 daythey hold good and do the job but not so easy to use. Todays new trucks are hight off the ground and I though I could just pull these tight from the ground. you have to hold the it open and pull it though. Making it much harder to get it tight to the rack. Not for my kind of work would not buy again. If you like this type of strap you will love these

> 3 dayUse to strap canoe to roof rack on RV. Nice and secure buckle and rubber cover slips nicely over metal to protect surface. Very satisfied with good product

16-11-2024These straps really need to be a few feet longer. More importantly, they slip. When used in conjunction with a NRS strap, I had to retighten the Thule strap everytime I pulled over and never had to readjust NRS strap. Ended up putting the rubber buckle protectors on some NRS straps and threw these away.

> 3 dayMuch better quality than the cheapo straps sold in hardware stores. Cost more, but strong.

Greater than one weekGreat products....our fault...they were NOT long enough to use across 4 kayaks on the rack on top of our Chevy Tahoe. We should have gone with the longer ones.
