Ive replaced all the kayak straps I had to these blue/yellow kayak straps. These work perfectly. My other straps were really long. These straps are the perfect size and dont have a ton of extra length after I get my kayaks tightened on my car. The price was kinda high considering they are just straps, but in the long run, its worth it. Quality product. Recommended.

Easy to use. Im glad I went with the 9Foot option. The shorter ones may work 90% of the time but sometimes the position of the boat on the rack, just needs more length.

These straps are plain and simple but very effective and easy to tie down canoe or kayak. I used a basic Thule rack with a couple pool noodles I got for $1 each at a drug store.

Before I purchased the Thule straps, I was dealing with the general straps with those hooks (I dont know exactly what they are called). The hooks wouldnt fit all the way around my racks, so I was always nervous if they would stay attached. Then I found these Thule straps. I love them!! They are more than plenty long and once fastened, they stay tight. Due to the size of my little kayak and my little car, I can go around the rack twice (yea little!). They are expensive compared to those hook things you can buy at Walmart, but once you have these, you will throw those others away! All you do is wrap them around your racks and your boat, fasten them and then tie the surplus cord into a knot so it doesnt bang against your car. The other thing I learned was to tie a knot (lose) in the free end when taking the straps off - this prevents the cover from coming off and having to scrounge for it under your car, or, worse, someone elses car! I have used these for years, and just ordered a new set. Ive towed kayaks all of the place, and never had one loosen up on me. The buckle is very low profile, and I seem to get less wind noise than with other straps. The rubber covers work great, and allow you to toss the buckle over the car without worrying about where it will land.
