Thule Load Straps for Roof Mount Racks
-

> 3 dayThese straps are great. Easy to use, and strong. The Thule straps held our kayaks in place even at speeds of 80+ miles an hour. The sliding rubber covers are a nice feature if you what to protect the metal clip from marring a surface. Worth the price.

> 3 dayWe got these straps to help tie down out SUP boards. We are very satisfied, they are strong and durable and love the face that the metal components have a rubberized cover because it protects out car as well as out SUP boards. NO COMPLAINTS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

> 3 dayThese load straps are very good. The buckle grips the strap and doesnt slip. The Buckle Bumpers protect the car and whatever you are strapping down from scratches. Another good Thule product!

> 3 dayI sought these out because someone else had some. They were hard to find and no stores carried them. After hearing about two stories where kayaks went flying off cars and in one case killed a cyclist, I take this aspect of boating safety seriously. I hope these straps help prevent such an accident for me.

Greater than one weekThese feel like they will last forever. They are thicker and stiffer than the ones in the Thule Portage kit (which I recommend). Wish they were a bit cheaper, but you do get what you pay for.

> 3 dayPurchased this based on product name reputation and the features. The best feature being the rubber grips that cover the metal clasps. This makes it easy to throw over your car roof when attaching a canoe.

Greater than one weekJust bought a pair, strapped my 17 canoe down on my Jeep Wrangler, and went on my way. Over the past few weeks, its been through a whole lot of wind and wear (has been driven through several severe storms, not loosening up at all). Only time will tell if they stay as good as they are now, but after about 2 weeks of intense use, they are working like a charm. The $30 price tag stings a little, but I suppose its fine if youre hell bent on not toting around ratchet straps.
