> 24 hourBad stuff first: If you create a wallet on your desktop and store your private keys on this device then you will not be able to plug this device into your iPhone to restore the wallet there (in case you like to check it from time to time on the go, like me). However, as you will most likely be HODLing if you are considering purchasing this device then this shouldn’t really be a huge issue. Also, the number of supported coins for this device is rather limited. Heck, Cardano is the 3rd largest cryptocurrency and it’s not supported. I’d encourage you not to use the default trezor software as your wallet. I also can’t figure out how to make the password saving feature for this work. Good stuff: It is secure, never been hacked and is sleek. Setting it up is fairly intuitive and it makes sure you’re aware how the seed phrase is to be protected and other things like that - so I’d say it’s beginner friendly. The trezor community/support is also very nice and has helped me a bit. Overall I’d say this device is on par with Ledger. Though it really comes down to whether or not your coin(s) of choice are supported by this device and if you care that it’s not iOS compatible.

> 24 hourTL;DR it is important to responsibly store your keys, so get them offline. A Trezor is a safe and easy way to do so. I started looking into buying a hardware wallet about a year ago after watching Andreas Antonopoulos talk about tiered storage of Bitcoin. Basically, a hot wallet on a phone with a little money for day to day spending, and the rest in varying degrees of cold storage. I feel like it applies to everyone because regardless of how much anyone has, the important thing, in my opinion, is to get in the habit of responsibly storing Bitcoin. After almost a year of using my Trezor, I still am very happy. The things I like most: - It is easy to use: even bought ones for my parents. It actually helped a lot with teaching them about Bitcoin. - Open-source: essentially everything, from their firmware to the actual hardware, is open source. This is comforting to me because it means that everyone in the world can look at their design and study it and help improve it. A couple things I dont like, but that arent that big of a deal yet: - The Trezor wallet uses bitcore as the full node backend. Id like to have the option of using bitcoind. - I cant yet receive to a bech32 address, but I think this is coming soon. - I would personally like to see more privacy technologies implemented, specifically BIP47. I cannot speak to the quality of their customer support because Ive never had to contact them. I will update my review if anything changes.

> 24 hourIts a solid product. Had to call support for Tampering. Could check your boxes. Any damage to the trezor seal, do not open. Contact trezor and have them send you a new one. Got a replacement within a week.

> 24 hourWorks as designed for the suoported cryoto currencies. Some upcomming coins are not supported, so check to make sure your coin is going to be suooorted. Supports most major coins, but it did not support monero for me, so i had to get another hard wallet.

> 24 hourIf you have more than 1 ETH, its worthy of getting one of these. I use it with a MBP16, and there isnt any USB2.0 on it. Many people said it might not work with a USB hub, but for me, it works very well though.

> 24 hourReally cool little device. In my opinion, probably as straightforward as possible for anyone new to bitcoin, but also very secure. I give five stars because I dont think there is anything better out there. In my opinion, it would be nice (maybe unrealistic) to see something made of aluminum so I dont feel nervous keeping this with my keys since its the perfect size, something waterproof, something a bit less expensive to lower the barrier of entry for anyone considering getting into digital currency, because no one considering buying a small amount of bitcoin to start will pay this much, and maybe restating how important it is to protect recovery seed. Maybe a mandatory tutorial or something.

> 24 hourThe product itself probably costs less than $0.25 to produce. So, I presume that its $50 price tag reflects the cost and maintenance of the website that supports it. But there is no technical support. I spent an entire afternoon setting this thing up, only to find that it is not recognized (by the system) during most iterations, i.e., it seems to get recognized about one in every dozen tries. And furthermore, the PIN pad is shuffled after every try. This is the type of frustration that makes me want to start smashing stuff! I dont know if my experience is typical, or if another wallet brand would be any different. Im waiting for my service ticket for a response - but that will take a week or so.

> 24 hourThey dont have an up to date code signing certificate for their software. As a security company, this is extremely sloppy. Also, it is clunky in the browser sometimes. But I must say, once you get it working, it works AWESOME!!!!! This is a 10 star item, but you must fight with it to get it all working. Ignore the certificate when first setting it up as well Again, very amateur that they cant even afford to get either a non-expired code signing certificate, or at least WARN you when you download it, that it will be expired and to ignore it. I thought initially that they had been hacked and were giving out bad software.
