03-04-2025Using this attached to a searzall for searing meat after a sous vide. Compared with just the bernzo, the searzall does not burn the meat black, just puts a golden delicious crust on it.

> 3 dayAfter years of using the standard little Bernzomatic torch to solder copper pipes, I got this one. It makes the job go much faster as it puts out a very hot flame. You just need to be careful when you have wood framing close by, so that you dont get it too hot, too.

> 3 dayMy old Bernzomatic broke after about 10 years of tough use, so I looked for a replacement for it. This Bernzomatic started on the first click of the trigger, and burned hot and clean right out of the box. The body of the torch is all metal, where my old Bernzomatic was plastic, so that was a real surprise out of the box. It is larger than my old torch, but it is an excellent, adjustable torch, and should be a great replacement for my old one.

31-03-2025Torch broke, the small hole in the bottom starter leaking gas turning into unstoppable fire, huge fire hazard and unsafe. Had to wait until the tank runs out of gas before I could unscrew it. Contacted warranty service since it was under 1 year, never got a reply back, what a terrible service.

> 3 dayI really like the way you can turn off the device and make sure your tank doesn’t leak. Made well and should last quite a while.

> 3 dayThis is not the same as TS4000 you have to turn a knob to shut off the torch. This extra step cause so much inconvenience comparing with TS400 which I am owninng now. Off is off. I got so use to the TS4000; once I let go the swtch and the torch is off but this TS8000 with a small blue flame still burning. If I never using the TS4000 I may accept this TS8000.
