Excellent product with so many colors for your tie dye! The box instructions are absolutely correct when addressing that the fabric needs to be 100% for the color to stick. I successfully made 6 t-shirts, two pairs of underwear, a hand towel, two masks, and a cardigan.

If I could give this product 4.5 stars, I would. It was so close to perfect. It had a great variety of colors to choose from, and each bottle--though it seemed to have very little powder in it--actually made a lot of dye. (You can see in my third picture that we had quite a lot of dye left in the handful of bottles that we used after covering three adult small shirts; there are a lot of colors we didnt use at all yet.) There were five pairs of big, plastic-y gloves to keep hands clean (note what happens if you figure your kids are doing the project so you dont need gloves), tons and tons of rubber bands...and a tiny little plastic table cover. That was the single drawback. Who on earth thinks that five people can fit around such a tiny piece of plastic?! Youll note in the first photo that it doesnt even quite fit across my table. Thankfully, I was only doing this project with three kids, so we could crowd around and it worked (and my table is old so I wasnt concerned about the parts that werent fully covered), but I think even four people would really be too tight once you spread out the bottles and give everyone a little space to work. If you buy this for more than three people to use at once, make sure you buy a bigger plastic tablecloth. For those who wonder, we did the top two tshirts using the ice method and the bottom one was the spider pattern. The Tulip website offers tutorials on lots of different styles (beyond the basics that are included in the instructions).

Tye dye is so fun and addicting. This kit provides plenty of colors and allows for multiple uses. Great as a gift. I would definitely buy again.

This dye was so easy to use. Instructions were clear to understand & I appreciated that it came with all the material needed. Wide variety of colors in the dyes & very vibrant. This turned out to be such a great & fun family activity.

I used this kit to tie dye 8 items with my sister and our kids. First time tie dyers. It was fun! It was also hilarious because we are 2 women who cannot relax and tend to overthink everything. Can’t over think tie dyeing. Can’t really even anticipate how it will turn out. So, after some unnecessary stressing and surprisingly little mess every single one of our items came out beautiful. It was such a good memory making experience! Going to do it again but will stress less and enjoy the prices more. I do have a tip for you, though: make sure you wash your items first and do not use fabric softener before you tie dye. Also: use less dye than you think you need. We used all of it. Every single drop from all 15 bottles and it was too much. I realize now that this kit would have tie dyed at least 19 items had we not been so heavy handed with the dye.

I bought 2 of these for a sleepover party of 6 six year old girls. I knew it would be messy so we set it up in the driveway and the kids LOVED it! It took a little time to set up (fill the bottles with water), but I liked the squirt bottles. The gloves are a bit useless, but half the fun is getting dyed yourself. The dye requires a good bit of saturation to get the desired effects, but overall I recommend. I also did not need to even open the second box I bought.

Got this to do with my nieces and nephews for the Fourth of July. The kids had so much fun making tie dye. Unfortunately, even following the instructions and waiting 8 hours before washing the shirts they blue dyes all faded really bad so that when the shirts came out of the wash the light blues were practically still white.

I tie dye shirts with my grandsons every summer. I love the color selection. The bright color stays after many washings in cold water. The plastic table covering is way too small so be prepared to supply a larger one to totally cover your surface.

Was fairly easy to do and clean up and you really cant mess anything up!

I think I like Tie dye more than my students and my own kids, I’ve bought this pack so many times. It has sooooo much dye it can easily cover more than 5 people. I love This set
