Greater than one weekOur family used this kit to make some shirts. We made 4 shirts and still have many colors to use for future projects. I was amazed at how well the tie dye turned out! Just like the pictures included with the instructions. We washed the shirts according to the instructions, and the colors have remained vibrant and permanent over several washings. It’s a messy project, so I would recommend working on it outside. But it was super fun, we have great shirts, and we can’t wait to do more. Highly recommend!

> 3 dayI used this for tie-dying with my daughter. Super easy. The only thing I would suggest is diluting the colors down way more than just what they give you. I dumped out some of the powder into a Ziploc bag. The colors are very vibrant and strong and I wanted a more pastel trendy look. Are use this for tie-dying with my daughter. Super easy. > 3 dayWe liked that it had many color options, that you only needed to add water. We made a total of 4 shirts & had plenty of die left over to where we probably could have easily made 5 more shirts. Overall it was a great kit & will probably buy again!

> 3 dayThis tie dye kit is amazing!! The colors are bright and vibrant. The bottles were prefilled with powder dye and just needed water added. So easy to use!! The gloves are very thin and dont last long but I expected that. This kit is large and will color a lot of items. Would definitely buy again. Great value for the money!!

> 3 dayExcellent tie-dye kit!! I put the shirts we dyed in zip lock bags. The directions say to keep the dyed shirts in a bag for 6-8 hours before hanging to dry. My kids had so much fun dying their shirts. We did tshirts and tank tops. My kids ages are 4, 6, and 8. I had to help the 4 year old a little bit. The older two did just fine on their own. This is very messy so be prepared to have dye all over. We did this outside in the grass which worked out well. Dye got on our folding table, but came off instantly with a magic eraser sponge. Great experience! :)

Greater than one weekIf I could give this product 4.5 stars, I would. It was so close to perfect. It had a great variety of colors to choose from, and each bottle--though it seemed to have very little powder in it--actually made a lot of dye. (You can see in my third picture that we had quite a lot of dye left in the handful of bottles that we used after covering three adult small shirts; there are a lot of colors we didnt use at all yet.) There were five pairs of big, plastic-y gloves to keep hands clean (note what happens if you figure your kids are doing the project so you dont need gloves), tons and tons of rubber bands...and a tiny little plastic table cover. That was the single drawback. Who on earth thinks that five people can fit around such a tiny piece of plastic?! Youll note in the first photo that it doesnt even quite fit across my table. Thankfully, I was only doing this project with three kids, so we could crowd around and it worked (and my table is old so I wasnt concerned about the parts that werent fully covered), but I think even four people would really be too tight once you spread out the bottles and give everyone a little space to work. If you buy this for more than three people to use at once, make sure you buy a bigger plastic tablecloth. For those who wonder, we did the top two tshirts using the ice method and the bottom one was the spider pattern. The Tulip website offers tutorials on lots of different styles (beyond the basics that are included in the instructions).

> 3 dayFor only $14.00, this tie-dye kit is a must! Each color is in fairly small bottle, but the variety more than makes up for it. I was able to dye about 16 28” 100% cotton Tea towels using the entire kit. (Note that it’s short of the “30 projects” the box claims. Clearly, what they count as a single project must have been much smaller, maybe something like baby onesies. I would estimate this kit would make about 15+/- kids t-shirts, depending on size and how much dye gets wasted if drippings are not collected in buckets.) I let my towels sit for ~20 hours for maximum intensity (the instructions recommend 6-8 hours). They did fade a bit when washed, which is to be expected since no mordant is used, but the colors are still acceptably vibrant. My only criticism of the kit is that the pinks/reds/oranges (5 colors) are way too similar to each other and make the overall kit very red-heavy. Coral and Orange are nearly identical, as are Pink and Fuschia, which both look like diluted red Dye rather than nicely saturated pinks. Teal and Turquoise are also very similar, but the range of blues and greens is much more dynamic. The purples were fair and it definitely felt like there wasn’t enough yellow. Overall, this kit gets two thumbs up. It’s exceedingly easy to use for both children and adults. For the price, it was absolutely worth it!

> 3 dayWe make custom tie dye and I love this brand. Wish it was still the same price as when I bought it last time I’d buy more!
