> 24 hourSo wash my 8 year old was able to dye her own shirt. It was a lot of fun. I will say- wear the gloves when you rinse them prior to washing. I didn’t expect so much run-off since we let them sit for 4 days (I forgot about them). But it happened. And my hands are blue. :) Definitely worth the money. The instructions can be confusing on how to roll or twirl the shirt but YouTube is available to help with that. Wet the shirts first…the dye will not soak if the shirt is dry. Good luck and enjoy.

> 24 hourEasy, everything you need. I did diabetic socks and 3 white tank tops I got from Torrid. Ive done sheets before but lesson learned, make sure anything you dye is DAMP to begin with. If you dye dry fabric the dye will just bounce off rather than absorbing. I dyed and left them tied up for several hours before hanging them outside to drip. Then the next day rinsed them clear in a bucket then rinsed again in another bucket filled with water and a little Downey. I am happy with the results. Instructions for different pattern expectations are so simple. Youve got to try it! Great summer project for the kids and adults alike.

> 24 hourI needed to tie dye 100 t-shirts and using the Tulip dye was actually fun. I was a beginner and It was easy to use. The colors were bright and so far, after a couple of washings, my own shirt still looks great. I would highly recommend these kits. There are multiple bottles of each color, and the dye will last a long time if it isnt diluted. Once its diluted, it has to be used within a couple of days.

> 24 hourI was making shirts for camp, for 10 adults and 20+ kids. We did adults the first night to figure it all out. We were messy with it, putting too much dye on them, with dye dripping off of them. Several adults liked blue and green, and we used up all the light blue and most of the pink in one of the kits, but otherwise had at least half of the other colors leftover. When we did it with the kids the next day, we had them drop it very carefully, a few drops at a time. Much much less messy, much more controlled, no dye running all over, and PLENTY of all colors. We just wasted a lot the first time. With 30 shirts, and 2 kits, we still had half bottles of a lot of colors. Details: in both cases, we twisted and handed the shirts, then dyed them. Then we put each shirt in a ziplock bag, sealed, for 8ish hours. After that, we rinsed each stilled twisted shirt with water until it ran mostly clear, then put them all in a Rubbermaid tub with water and several cups of vinegar for about a half hour. After the vinegar, we drained them, unbanded them, and threw them all in the wash together. They came out beautifully. Tips: wear gloves. If kids are doing it, wear aprons or paint shirts. If adults are doing it, consider aprons or paint shirts. Consider doing it outside. We did it on an old picnic table and it was fine. There is a thin tablecloth in the kit, if you’re on a nice, big table, cover it well.

> 24 hourThis set is awesome! We bought it to have as a rainy day activity on our family vacation. It was perfect. We were able to tie dye 6 mens small undershirts and 5 kids XL tank undershirts and had lots of colors left. Best thing is all the items came out looking like the kids wanted them to! They look fantastic. It was so easy. We used foil pans to help contain the mess which worked great. This set would be prefect for a party!

> 24 hourThis kit yielded 5 gorgeous, vibrant shirts. We have a bit of dye left and could probably do a few more if we werent extremely selective of the colors. I do think they overrepresented the amount of shirts you could do, but I really oversaturated ours because I wanted bright, beautiful colors so Im sure that was a factor. The kit contains everything you need other than the shirts including even a drop cloth. It also includes a sheet showing you some techniques. We turned to YouTube prior to making the shirts for some additional ideas. Each of us chose our own colors and technique and made our own shirts representing our individual styles. It was a great family activity! My teenage son wanted to put forth the least amount of effort he could so he chose the easiest method of just scrunching up the shirt. I loosely tied a band around it so it stayed scrunched and we put just one color of dye on it. It turned out gorgeous with barely any effort, almost zero! I think this kit is great for beginners, groups, parties, anyone really who wants to get creative and create a wearable work of art. Even teenagers!

> 24 hourI was having a hard time finding a kit with more than just a few basic colors at which most were more expensive than this one with less product. This kit was great it had everything I needed for this to be a successful birthday gift/project for a 8 year old and his friends. It had a plastic table cover to prevent messes which was much needed, as well as plenty of gloves for everyone, rubber bands and even a how to guide to show different ways you can rubber band your tee to get a different pattern. The kids loved it and had plenty left over for next time which was easily stored in the plastic storage container that it came inside of.

> 24 hourThis kid has beautiful colors and is super easy and super cute. The colors are vibrant and it was very fun making tie-dye shirts with my niece. The only thing is I suggest not using the day after it’s already been mixed for a couple days. We didn’t use it all at once so it was already mixed for a few months and we tried it again and the colors didn’t come out as vibrant but they definitely still looked pretty just lighter.
