Greater than one weekEasy, everything you need. I did diabetic socks and 3 white tank tops I got from Torrid. Ive done sheets before but lesson learned, make sure anything you dye is DAMP to begin with. If you dye dry fabric the dye will just bounce off rather than absorbing. I dyed and left them tied up for several hours before hanging them outside to drip. Then the next day rinsed them clear in a bucket then rinsed again in another bucket filled with water and a little Downey. I am happy with the results. Instructions for different pattern expectations are so simple. Youve got to try it! Great summer project for the kids and adults alike.

Greater than one weekThis was a great project for my grand daughter and myself. It really was a great time and we did a time laps video of us making the shirts. I would suggest leaving on as long as you can but even after only 12 hours they were great. I just about could live it Tie Dye shirts forever. I had read some things about using Soda Ash first and I did get some but it turns out for Tulip Brand like this I guess it is in it already and not needed. Just get damp, wrap up however, bag it for a day and rinse out like crazy. I did wash with other like shirts with a tiny bit of color safe bleach to help set the dye and seemed to work great.

Greater than one weekI absolutely loved this tie dye kit! It is so fun and easy to use. I made a couple shirts with my niece who was only 4 years old. It basically comes with everything that you need and can make a lot. We only used 3 bottles and we were able to make 6 shirts! it has great instructions as well.

> 3 dayWe used this kit at a birthday party with 13 shirts tie dyed. It worked great, easy to use and had everything we needed! I bought 2 kits just in case but I only needed a couple extra colors from the other kit. The shirts turned out great!

> 3 dayI love the idea of this product, the color variety is great and the box and everything that comes with it is great too. However the quality of the actual dye is very poor. They wash out almost immediately no matter what you do to set the colors. End result is tie dye that looks faded and muddy because everything runs together. What’s worse is that the color keeps dripping no matter how many washes the fabric goes through, so you can’t wear any of the clothes because it continues to stain your skin and any other fabric it the tie dye touches. you would be MUCH better off spending a little more money and having a product that comes out right and actually lasts.

> 3 dayThis kid has beautiful colors and is super easy and super cute. The colors are vibrant and it was very fun making tie-dye shirts with my niece. The only thing is I suggest not using the day after it’s already been mixed for a couple days. We didn’t use it all at once so it was already mixed for a few months and we tried it again and the colors didn’t come out as vibrant but they definitely still looked pretty just lighter.

Greater than one weekMy 2 & 4 yos and I made T-shirts using these dyes. They were extremely easy to use. You just add water and shake! We did this outside using a step stool covered in a plastic bag with paper towels on top and then had a wire cookie drying rack that we worked on (definitely needed) and I used some kid nitrile gloves that I had for my little ones. Each child picked two colors and that was enough dye for them each to do two xs childrens shirts (ie two dye bottles -> two shirts). I also picked two colors and that was not quite sufficient to do two adult shirts in the dry tie-dying style (I needed just a bit more dye). We let them sit overnight wrapped in cling wrap, rinsed them out with a hose on the lawn, washed in hot water in the washing machine and then dried. I havent had them bleed with that treatment onto other clothes. The colors are VIVID and the red is RED (not pink) and the dark blue is a darkish blue. Well be doing more in the future for other projects! (xmas gifts for grandparents of reusable grocery bags, tote bags, shirts, etc). This was my first attempt and I LOVED 3 of the 6 shirts we made (they looked professional and store-bought), and liked another 2. The last one was ahh but it had some mistakes made (wrong-colored ink getting through since I didnt change the paper towels under the rack between projects). For my kids I cut plastic bags to add holes for arms & head and put that on them to keep them safe in case they went crazy with the dye. It wasnt necessary but was good piece of mind. The 4yo didnt need much supervision but the 2yo needed some help.

> 3 dayBought this as a little activity for cousins. I’ve never done tie-dye before. The instructions were really clear they had gloves in the box as well as a table cover. how to do them, which was really helpful lots of colors.
