This scanner is a great bargain. I purchased the uniden bc 355n first, but I had lots of trouble trying to program It. I sent it back to Amazon and ordered this one. It is easy to program if you follow the directions in the manual that comes with the radio. The manual is very helpful with a lot of information, and easy to read. The knobs are large and easy to operate especially if you have trouble with your hands. The speaker sounds good with plenty of volume. The radio comes with the manual, antennae, and adapter you can plug into wall outlet for power. It also holds 3 AA batteries for power backup. The radio also will receive FM and national weather service broadcasts. If you are looking for a scanner with lots of room for many channels ( this holds 500) then this is the radio for you, and at a great price!!

Simple and easy to program. Good for scanning basic police fire and emergency communications. Priority channels easy to program and change. Not much use for alarm clock features but has a timer you can set to turn off when Not in use. 10 banks can be programmed for Priority use or can be turned off in an instant. Good value for the price.

I feel Im very capable of learning new things especially tech. But this bad boy was difficult to use. Zero intuitive. I was following the booklet and trying to do some things and when Id push some of the buttons it would not do what it should have according according the booklet. So naturally I tried again and again. I couldnt even get fm stations to work. Needless to say Im returning it.

My old handheld SONY scanner bit the dust after decades of great performance. It would pick up all kinds of radio traffic in my area, so I definitely feel I got my moneys worth. This new Bearcat is a disappointment. Perhaps every signal in my neighborhood was weakened or somehow diminished at the same time, but for whatever reason, this scanner doesnt pick up nearly the amount of traffic my previous Sony delivered. Ive positioned the Bearcat in exactly the same multiple locations in and around my home as the Sony, and still very, very limited reception. It pulls in FM and weather okay, so I know the antenna works. But as far as picking up local sheriff and police, this Bearcat leaves a LOT to be desired. I suppose the low low price reflects the low low receptivity.

It is annoying that I bought the antenna in the CUSTOMERS ALSO BOUGHT section of Amazon. The included antenna was better than the one I paid an additional amount for. Programing is not the easiest but there are a few Youtube videos out there that helped. I had to reset the memory first by making sure the batteries were taken out, unplugging the unit, holding down the 2,9, and Hold keys while plugging it back in. Once that was done things worked as in the manual and on Youtube. Speaker is plenty loud for my small office and the quality is good. The knobs are solid. The back-light feature is nice. Overall I am happy with the scanner and enjoy the Marine, Ham, FM and Weather stations as well.

I bought this for the aircraft band. Ive got Jax high altitude, Jax, Craig, St Aug, NAS, Herlong, and Cecil Field all programmed in. Everything is pretty straightforward and simple to use. Didnt even need the owners manual. The marine band scans so fast its crazy...I bought the refurbished unit, a great deal.

This particular Uniden scanner unit is a winner. Very easy to program with strong dynamic sound. Once set up for local fire and police it will run for years. A great scanner for beginners.

The BC365CRS is a multi-featured conventional channel scanner. Easily enter and store frequencies for police, fire/emergency, marine, air and more into 500 channels over ten banks. The scanner also features AM/FM clock radio with snooze and NOAA weather broadcasts. Receives conventional channels on the following frequencies: AM Broadcast (530-1700 KHz) (25-54 MHz) FM Broadcast (88-108 MHz) (108-174 MHz) (225-380 MHz) (406-512 MHz). In scanner mode press to start a limit search or to resume searching. In service select mode press to select police service. In fm mode, press to select the fm1 from memory bank. Note-if scanner receives interference or electrical noise move the scanner or its antenna away from the source. Recommend changing the height or angle of the antennas. Avoid placing the scanner in direct sunlight or near heating elements or vents
