> 24 hourI purchased this with much anticipation, expecting much better suction. I was not prepared to how small this pump is. I have small hands and it as such this pump is too small to comfortably use long term. The suction seems about the same as my old cheap device, perhaps not as great. For one, the other pump is much larger and hence it pulls a lot more volume of air. Well see long term how it does. I will say, the silicone tip does resist temps better than the teflon version.

> 24 hourI have a PCB with a thickness of 111mm. With a soldering tool, I was able to remove the connector, but still has solder remain in the PCB holes. This prevents me from putting in a new connector. Using this solder sucker tool, I was able to remove all the solder from the connectors holes. It takes some practice to master the usage of this tool. It will take time but does work much better than using the solder wick.

> 24 hourI saw this kind of solder sucker a few times and though hey thats a great idea, it looks way better than those 30 year old blue RS ones. so I bought one. it was bad. bad bad bad so bad. the plunger would jam every single pump. the end went flying. I threw it away. I then saw this one. It looked a bit different. so did some research on the company. turns out they make legit tools. This was enough to convince me to actually throw down money again on this kind of product. This is the one. it works INCREDIBLY well. fits nicely in your hand. The others were way larger and more cumbersome. Suction is extremely powerful and cleans most holes in one shot. In fact it can pull so much solder in one shot that cooled bits will likely pop back out when you go to reload so make sure to do it over a bowl/cup. Its easily reloadable and triggerable with one hand, not having to contort your hand in extreme ways to do it. It even comes with a couple inches of extra replacement tubing you can cut as needed. It also hasnt jammed on me once. 5/5 across the board. this works exactly like you would expect and is well worth the money. recommending this to other EE friends.

> 24 hourI do repairs on guitar pedals for work and have a nice Hakko Desoldering gun to use, but needed something smaller (and significantly cheaper) for builds/repairs at home. The build quality and feel of this thing is top tier. Easy in the hand, the plunger is easy to use, and the suction power is super powerful- the first time I used it, I was shocked. I ordered another one to use at work for harder to reach places on the circuit board. 10/10 worth the extra money

> 24 hourThis is a disappointment in every way. Strongly recommend you avoid this. First, the size of the tool is too small for average hands. This makes it awkward and difficult to use. At times dangerous. Second, the suction is not that great. More than once it splattered solder everywhere. Third, it broke and would no longer push fully in or retract, after about five minutes of usage. Horrible. Avoid.

> 24 hourThis little gadget is amazing for removing solder. I restored a trs80 Model 4 keyboard with this baby. Got the solder molten then let the tool do the rest... a nice and clean solder pad ready for new solder. Would not go without it, literally could not at this point.

> 24 hourId say this is one of the best solder suckers out there. Truly good suck, it is solid and easy to get into tight areas. The cheaper suckers usually take a couple sucks to get up all the solder, but this sucker seems to get it up with one or two sucks. Highly recommended for any solder job.

> 24 hourIve been doing circuit design and building for more than 30 years and have had all kinds of socker-suckers; so far this one is my favorite. Its very small but seems to be well made. The short piece of tube attached to the end makes a great seal so that suction is transferred to the pcb where it is needed. It might be a bit small for big hands. An extra piece of high-temperature tubing is included and should provide at least 3 or four replacements.
