> 3 dayIm really impressed with this safe. Had to replace an older gun safe that just stopped working. Decided to give this one a try. The instructions are well written and easy to understand. It was very easy to program my own security code into. The numbers light up as soon as you touch the first one, and the sensitivity is very good. The numbers turn green when youve entered the correct code and the lid opens up supper fast. The interior light is a plus, but you can also turn it off if you dont want it coming on. So far Im really happy with this purchase.

> 3 dayEasy to program electronic key pad. Comes with a rechargeable battery that is charged with USB cable which is great for me as I can plug in while driving if needed. Safe also has a backup key for entry just in case. Very solid small gun case, well built. I was surprised by how heavy it felt when I took it out of box. This one was for the car but now I am looking to get one for the house as well.

> 3 dayUpdate (8/17/19): I still love this thing. One of my concerns was how long the battery would last. Despite it not having bluetooth, you can still check the battery level by pressing and holding button #5. Anyway, I use this thing regularly and open it several times a day, every day. Ive had it for 4 months now and the battery level is still at 4 out of 5 with a single charge! I still love this thing and highly recommend it. I researched a nightstand safe for a while and decided to get the Vaultek VE10. I was going to get the VR10, but was opposed to bluetooth on a gun safe. I have both my Sig 938 and Glock 42 in this safe. Great features. YOU CAN TURN OFF THE BEEPS. Some reviews said you cant. Its in their instructions so Im sure where they are getting the information. You can also check the battery status pressing a combination of keys. I love this thing. Its great quality including the braided USB cable they give you. Well worth the money. Cant beat the warranty either.

> 3 dayIt’s easy to open and sturdy. I wish there was a key lockout like the LifePod has but it keeps the kids out and deters thieves when secured with a cable.

> 3 dayPurchased the MXE model because I was thinking long term ownership and in general electronics do not age well so the extra frills like biometric scanner and WiFi access didn’t appeal to me. I was also uncomfortable with remote accessibility with children. The safe feels sturdy and secure. Key pad is simplistic and programming was quick and easy. I do wish they had added a numerical 0 and 9 to the keypad rather than just 1-8. I really like how modern and well thought out the safe is. Little details such as an internal led light,a backlight entry keypad, and the variety of snap in holders place it above other basic safes. What was the biggest selling factor for me was the size of this safe. When I was doing my original research there weren’t many options in size that was in-between a small nightstand safe and a big rifle cabinet. This is the perfect middle of the road size for a closet or under the desk set up. All my pistols fit inside despite my S&W 686 being too long if you try to place it in one of the universal snap in holders.I have to prop it up against the back all of the safe and the side of the holder or lay it down. The removable sliding tray is a nice feature for little things like boxes of ammo or magazines. Only drawback to the tray is the fact that the program button is exposed without a guard right above the middle of the tray . I constantly swipe the program button with a box of ammo I have stored on the shelf whenever I slide the tray out. Battery life seems good. I’ve had it for about a month and still haven’t dipped below 77% but I also don’t access the safe daily or frequently so some can argue that is a quick drain for such low usage. I think the MXE model is about $100-150 overpriced especially since it has none of the features like WiFi connectivity, biometric scanning, remote quick access, fireproof ratings, or waterproof ratings. It seems like a sturdy and reliable safe so it was worth the money despite the premium cost.

> 3 dayI bought this for my husband for his bedside/car safe and he loves it! Good quality and versatile. It also looks nice and has nice feature such as the pop up lid and light inside! Nice product!
