> 3 dayThese knives are fantastic. I was worried when they came because they are so thin. I didnt need to worry. They are sturdy and very sharp. We use them every day. The colors go great with my Fiestaware.

Greater than one weekI absolutely LOVE these knives. They are VERY sharp so be very careful while doing your cutting. I want all of my knives to be the Victorinox brand! Amazing product, Stainless Steel, my sister has had her knives for about 3 years and they are still sharp and havent had any issues whatsoever. Thanks guys!

> 3 dayTheyre sharp and seem very durable. My only minor gripe is the handles are a little small (not proportionately I just have big hands.)

> 3 dayOh, Victorinox, let me sing your praises. I used to work in kitchens professionally as a pastry chef, and this was always my knife of choice. I always had a Victorinox chefs knife, paring knife, serrated paring knife and a serrated bread knife on hand. These knives take many, many years of daily use to even remotely start to dull, and at that cost you seriously cant beat it. Ive used other high-end brands (you know the ones Im referencing), and those suckers dull immediately and require a lot of constant sharpening and honing. When I moved in with my boyfriend, I quickly realized his steak knifes were.. subpar. ;-) I purchased these, and we now use them for every day use, chopping, as steak knives, etc. Highly, highly, highly recommend, and the colors are fun! P.S. If you ever find yourself in the Victorinox store in NY or in the handful of European countries where they have stores, check out their section of misfit knives. People often get their knives engraved, and if the store messes up they sell the items at a discount. I purchased a serrated bread knife in Switzerland for easily 25%+ off as theyd messed up the initials. Unless youre buying as a gift, this is the way to go! Or buy from Amazon, because... Amazon. :)

> 3 dayI am *NOT* a knife snob. I buy lower-cost knives and keep them sharp. I am a fan of Victorinox. I wanted a new set of steak knives, inexpensive but good quality knives and this set looked fun to have. I know they also come in black but I like the colors. The blade itself is very good - cuts well, and looks very well made and should be nice and durable. In addition to being steak knives, these should also work well as general-purpose slicing knives. I love the fact that it doesnt have a point. It almost seems like the perfect sandwich-making knive because you can slice bread with it, spread mayo/butter with the tip, etc. That said, I really felt that the handle is a bit on the thin/light side. I have small hands and this is too small imo. The molding of the handle also looks a bit rough and not up to the quality that Id expect from Victorinox. Overall, I still think this is a great steak knife set you can get for this price range and Im sure it will last me many years. I just wish the handle was a bit more substantial, and better quality mold.
