I just cut myself for the second time since receiving these. (Inattentive user error.) Darwin award goes to me. 5 star review for these knives.

These are the best knives I have ever had. Cut through meat (steaks,chops,chicken,etc) with ease.I was doubtful when I first received these. Didnt think they would work well but they do. Like all the different colors of the handles.too.My only complaint is the handles should be made with a heavier non slip material. But all in all, this is a great knife.

These knives cut through all meat easily. The colors add a bit more to the table. The metal is flexible and strong, but not real thick. I would recommend these knives to my friends.

These knives are incredible! They cut so smoothly and are very versatile. We have used them as steak knives but also to cut bread, vegetables, fruits and all sorts of other produce . Believe it or not, I cut open a pack of CocaCola from Costco and this knife was actually able to puncture a hole in a can with just a light swipe!

I have been buying these knives for years, I first discovered them on a trip to Germany 15 years ago. I have brought them back from trips to Germany for friends and family, and have at least 10 in my drawer at all times... I have this size and a shorter bladed pointed tip version, too. I use them to peel and cut apples for pie, as steak knives, preparing celery, cutting sandwiches, truly - you name it, I pretty much use this knife (except for carving turkey and bigger jobs requiring bigger knives). I purchased this set to put into my grown childrens stockings this year. To be honest I will keep a couple to add to my collection, too!! I am 53 and have medium sized hands, they fit me and my needs perfectly. I am really not kidding, this is my FAVORITE KNIFE, and I have many!!!!!

I am *NOT* a knife snob. I buy lower-cost knives and keep them sharp. I am a fan of Victorinox. I wanted a new set of steak knives, inexpensive but good quality knives and this set looked fun to have. I know they also come in black but I like the colors. The blade itself is very good - cuts well, and looks very well made and should be nice and durable. In addition to being steak knives, these should also work well as general-purpose slicing knives. I love the fact that it doesnt have a point. It almost seems like the perfect sandwich-making knive because you can slice bread with it, spread mayo/butter with the tip, etc. That said, I really felt that the handle is a bit on the thin/light side. I have small hands and this is too small imo. The molding of the handle also looks a bit rough and not up to the quality that Id expect from Victorinox. Overall, I still think this is a great steak knife set you can get for this price range and Im sure it will last me many years. I just wish the handle was a bit more substantial, and better quality mold.

Ive used this type of Victorinox for about 20 years. It is my favorite breakfast knife, an excellent steak knife and a good veggie slicer. They clean up easily and look good for years.
