> 3 dayAwesome buy. I bought this in conjunction with a vhs converter and have been extremely pleased. The software is awesome and offers a lot of editing options, and is straightforward to use even for novices. Also, the product works well through constant usage without drop off in quality. Video quality depends on the input, but I just saved 20 years of home movies with this product. Cant ask for more than that.

> 3 dayIve purchased other VHS to DVD programs in the past and have had issues with the audio being out of sync with the video. Im happy to have finally found one that doesnt have that issue. The videos I recorded were a bit choppy (which is why Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5) but other than that Im very happy with VHStoDVD.

> 3 dayI was able to successfully preserve old tapes of my childhood thanks to this product. The software (while visually outdated) ran well on Windows 10. I ended up running the captured content through Sony Vegas to compress the file size and fix some small sound issues (mono sound only coming through one speaker). This was not a quick project and I didnt expect it to be since I had well over 20 hours of tape to go through. But it is 100% worth it. Act now people. Remember, tapes will degrade over time but video files wont.

> 3 dayThe device works very well for recording old VHS tapes. The product saved me a lot of time and money! The instruction manual would be greatly improved if more detail was included with respect to selecting the appropriate settings when using the setup wizard. I think novice users may find it difficult to follow.

> 3 dayNot bad. The usb end had to be squeezed a little because it kept falling out but once I did that it worked great in the wizard mode. I am still having problems in the advanced mode. I found other software online that works very well if the video is saved to the computer in advanced more and then edited in the other software where I am able to put nicer introductions and some fading in and out. As far as the equipment is concerned, not bad but I would suggest better software like Wondershare video editor for editing the videos after converting them.

Greater than one weekI didnt do my research to make sure this product was compatible with what I had. So, I believe that the product is a 5, but what is truly a 5 is the service. It truly was one of the easiest and flawless returns Ive ever done. No one really wants to return items, but if you must, making it this easy makes it so much better. Thank you.

> 3 dayTransferring VHS to external hard drive. A few things worried me. First, there was nothing on the box about being compatible with Windows 10 even though the listing said it was. Turns out it was compatible. No problem. Second, while recording the audio was a little off from the video. After recording was finished I checked the file and the audio was fine. No problem. Third, I have a DVD player on my laptop but not a burner so I am uploading movies to an external hard drive. Would not let me save direct. Had to transfer it post completion. No problem. All in all, way slower than using Pirate Bay but my internet provider gets a little pissy. Legalities being what they are this is the next best option I found. No problem.

> 3 dayEasy to use. Instruction book is long so hard to read on the computer and too many pages to print. At first it did not wor because my computer did not recognize the right drivers to make it run but the customer service people that I talked to helped me and within 15 minutes it ran perfectly. I love the product

> 3 dayWell made and was simple to connect to computer and VCR. Operations were tricky and I believe if the company had video instructions on their website would help the consumer to use their product to its fullest. I will have to say, I believe I have actually managed to rescue two priceless family VHS videos by converting them to DVD. Fortunately a friend had a VCR I was able to borrow to make this transfer. Honestech VHS to DVD was worth the cost. The final transfer to DVD played right away on my DVD player. Unfortunately I wasnt able to use their Editing option as it either didnt work or I just couldnt figure it out. The Easy Wizard Mode is very basic so I stuck with that.
