> 3 dayThe Advanced Mode is VERY complicated. Dont have the time to learn it much less use it. The Easy Wizard would not work at first, after spending a couple of hours. Had to contact tech support. They werent sure where problem was. They Did spend a lot of time trying to resolve the problem. Suggested I trouble shoot on my own. I Later found an update patch for 8.0 , using Google, that SPECIFICALLY addressed the Easy Wizard problems I was having. Patched to 8.01 or 8.1. Works great now, for simple unedited transfers.

Greater than one weekWonderful video bóx, its Powerful for different old devices, as vcr, camcorder, Betamax, turntable. Etc, and the software its great, and can récord from turntable too for music mp3 files. Was the best choice I did, the video editor its soné kind basic, but you can capture your video in Mpg format, export to Avi or MP4 and can handle with another video editor as Camtasia, or Sony Vega

> 3 dayThis software is so easy to use. I cant say it enough of how easy it is to save all my old vhs tapes to my computer. Some of the reviews made me have some doubts, but I can honestly say they were unfounded. I have a very basic, no frills, desktop computer and a vcr player, and the set up using the supplied software disc, and voila. Converting all my vhs tapes to my computer, using windows media player, I can burn them to dvd. It really is that simple. I havent used the advanced mode, but Im looking forward to trying it and also using the audio mode where I can convert all my cassettes to cd. Most of my videos are 25 plus years old and some have started to bleed color during playback so Im glad I finally got around to doing this. I couldnt be happier!

> 3 dayI think this product would have been great except I have a camcorder that needed a different cable and the cable that was provided doesnt work if you only have one input from the camcorder. I was either able to get sound or video but not both.

> 3 dayAlthough it shows and input for DVD Player, in dubbing DVDs there is dropout of the sound occasionally. I talked to their tech and he told me it has problems dubbing digital media. Otherwise AOK.

Greater than one weekMy experience with this product and the support team has been good. I found phone support to be excellent. A young man named Justin, clearly from North America, very polite, patient, articulate, knowledgeable and helpful. Then again, I am a bit more tech-savvy than most users, and I try to be polite to tech support people. Here are some caveats that I have learned. Make sure the little box has a good power supply. Best way to do this is to invest in a powered USB hub. If you have a lot of USB devices chained on your PC, the power may drop a bit to your devices, or so I have heard. I have a couple of powered hubs anyway, so I used one for this device. If your videotape/VCR combination is not producing a good, stable image, you are going to have video and audio problems with this program, such as the intermittent blue screen interrupt on video and ticking audio artifacts. What plays acceptably on your TV may not do here. I was trying to make a digital copy of a film I had recorded off cable many years ago, and I had the issues. Justin asked me to try a commercially-manufactured VHS movie, and the video issues immediately disappeared. As for my audio problems, mea culpa, I had the RCA audio cables in the wrong jacks on the back of the VCR. So far, the thing works OK for me.

> 3 dayEasy to install. It allows us to take family VHS tapes and convert them to .wmv files on our Windows PC. You can create DVDs but I have not done this yet, as I want to edit the .wmv files for content (45 minutes of a football game needs to be shortened to about 10 minutes!) MUCH cheaper than taking them to commercial converters! My feeling is that DVDs will age out over time and as long as I have the .wmv I can edit them with PC software over time.

> 3 dayI have no issues transferring video from a vcr to my computer and from a video camera to my computer. The only issue I found was the editing software but I saved my videos in a format that allowed me to edit them through another program. Overall I am satisfied with this product.

Greater than one weekI was able to successfully preserve old tapes of my childhood thanks to this product. The software (while visually outdated) ran well on Windows 10. I ended up running the captured content through Sony Vegas to compress the file size and fix some small sound issues (mono sound only coming through one speaker). This was not a quick project and I didnt expect it to be since I had well over 20 hours of tape to go through. But it is 100% worth it. Act now people. Remember, tapes will degrade over time but video files wont.
