I paid $570 for this item on Dec. 1 and now, Dec.15, it is selling for $399. Also, it does come with two power cords, but one is for England and one is for France. I cannot rate the product on how it works, since I have to find a power cord before I can use it. Disappointing on both levels.

The projector is very bright, even in a room with ceiling lights. The multiple input options - HDMI, VGA - are very handy. The only downside is that the internal speaker is weak, but the audio output jack allows external speakers to be connected. Viewsonic projectors have performed well in the past.

Just fabulous.... user friendly out of box. No USB ports. And that is stated. Additional speakers needed for larger spaces.

I purchased this projector one year ago, and just opened the box to use it for a school graduation ceremony. I ended up using the schools antiquated projector (Sharp PG-F312x), because this Viewsonic would not project bright enough on the white, screen located above the childrens chairs. Later I decided to really see how well this Viewsonic projects within a variety of lighted settings. I brought the projector back to my classroom, and set it up 7.5-feet from a smart board. There, I projected the slideshow using the brightest setting, and then a standard setting. I adjusted the room lighting ranging from complete darkness (lights off, shades fully down), to full light (all three sections of lights on, shades up). I adjusted the rooms lighting to in-between settings to check the manufacturers claims. The Viewtronic is described as having very good projection in lit environments. Its also advertised as having good projection beyond 8-feet. What I found is that at 7.5-feet in a fully lit environment, it is impossible to see the projected image. Likewise, in a semi-lit environment the projection is nearly non-existent. In a fully dark environment, the image is good at best, but not super crisp and clear. (The projected image resembles a matte photo from the 1970s: a bit grainy.) Within this best lighting set-up, when moving the projector back beyond 8-feet I find you might as well have the audience crowd around your laptop to take turns viewing your presentation. Not a good machine at all.

Short and simple Bought it, loved it for the price but returned it right away for the BenQ TH671ST Everything about it is great in my opinion from the brightness to the color and all the way to the input lag for gaming. Watched bad boys for life and played red dead and rocket league for a little bit. The 16ms input lag aint that bad for shooters or if your concern about reaction time in other things for gaming. If youre used to a 1ms response time with monitors, then you might notice it. But for the avarage, again, it aint that bad. Two reason i returned it, 1st was because of the resolution(800x600). If you get close to the picture while using the projector, you could see the pixels/squares. But if your not then its no biggie. The 2nd was i needed a short throw projector. Which this is not. Again, everything about the projector for me was great, but ill spend the extra money for a 1080p projector that meets my needs. Oh and another note, this thing does get hot and might make you sweat if youre around it. Its Good if you dont care about resolution and in a budget

I bought this projector to replace my Vivitek Qumi 5 and this thing blows it out of the water. With my old projector the lights had to be dimmed and all the windows had to have blackout curtains in order to get a decent image. With this refurbished ViewSonic unit, the picture is vivid and clear even with 5 dual tube T8 shop lights turned on and the windows open.
