> 3 dayThis projector is not native 4k and the throw rate according to veiwsonic from 5 mtrs is at least 120 inch I could only manage a90 inch projection on my 133 inch screen and went through all settings many times olso if u don’t use super eco mode fan kicks in louder I’ve been given a replacement from Amazon and hopefully it will be better as I’m not saying it’s a bad projector good pic remote is a nightmare but that’s me DONT take this review as not to buy as it’s worth the money if it’s not faulty as I believe my 1 is veiwsonic is a great company so recommend them for a budget 4k projector but would hold on for newer editions as there constantly bringing out better ones

> 3 dayThis is the 5th projector I have owned in the last 20 or so years. I caught a case of buyers remorse as soon as I purchased it and was pretty sure I was going to send it back if it wasnt a huge upgrade over my 1080p BenQ. The picture quality is great and it is quite bright. Its also much quieter than the BenQ. I have yet to use it for any 4k content other than a little XBox but it looks great in 1080p. I guess Im going to keep it. My only gripe so far is that it looks like crap hooked up to my UVerse box in 1080i. All the colors are wonky and people turn in to smurfs. I set the box to 720 and the colors look fine, they also look fine regardless of the resolution on my HTPC. Not sure what the issue is, it worked fine on my last projector. Not a big deal for me as I only turn on the uverse box for football.

Greater than one weekThe instruction manual is really brief. Most functions are self explanatory but I could not get the #$*% wake on hdmi signal to work. I had the wake on hdmi option to on and set power off timer to 10 minutes (which is correct). Finally realized that when the projector shuts down it cools for about a minute and the green power light flashes repeatedly while its cooling. When the light finally goes off THEN the projector will wake up when it receives an hdmi signal. Great picture, put it in gamer mode and tried some eldon ring and theres not really any perceptible lag at all, Im impressed.

> 3 dayI got this from amazon due to 4 plus rating and attractive price But i was dissapointed to recieve a unit with defective audio port . Amazon promptly replaced it. The 2nd unit worked for a month . Then one day i had to switch audio cable and the audio port stopped again . Once again amazon shipped me a replacement. 2 nd replacement unit arrived with a dead audio port . I asked amazon to replace it but they said i need to either return it or work with viewsonic and get a rma replacement. I decided to do an advance rma. This unit also turned out to have a defective audio port. I provided video proof that my speaker and audio cabled worked with my iphone but failed with one of the viewsonic units. And the internal audio speaker was not getting muted when cable was inserted in the back of the unit. Viewsonic continued to maintain i had a defective speaker inspite of sending video proof. They sent me a video of a stock projector working with an ext speaker to prove their point. Ultimately i returned the unit i had from amazon and the rma unit and applied for a refund. I spent a lot of time unpacking , packing and testing 4 units and only one was functional partially . I will not recommend viewsonic

> 3 dayIt worked for three movies, then died on the fourth. It was 77 degrees out and 25% humidity which is not bad so the unit was not being subject to extreme conditions. Had it all setup, kids were gathered around and ready to watch a movie outside at night. Ridiculous that a company like ViewSonic would produce such garbage. Things happen, i know but I am in Tech for a living and this sort of thing should not happen. Thankfully it was within the return window with Amazon otherwise I would have been out $600

> 3 dayThis is a fantastic short throw projector. It works great if you lack space, and still want a large image. You can be a few feet away and project an 80 ft image. I have mine connected to my Sony Atmos soundbar, and with the PS4. I have been playing Destiny 2 on it and it looks amazingly sharp, and I havent experienced any kind of distortion, lag input, or discomfort. It is easy to set up, and is basically plug and play. It is lightweight, and small enough to carry around. This is great for taking outdoors at night, or over a friends house. You can just set it up on a table and start playing away. I didnt know short throws were so much better but they are so convenience in limited spaces. I would definetely recommend this projector. It works very well and the picture is amazing. I love it.
