Greater than one weekPurchased may 2021, and a week ago the projector died on me. Doesnt want to power up, at first I thought it could be the bulb. But read that it has an indicator for the bulb replacement. It still should power up but with out an image. Check cord, check receptacle, it simply wont power up. Warranty is 1yr I figured. 1yr and 3months its gone. Cant complain of image quality cuase was great but maybe more quality in internals could really help for years of service. Sorry Viewsonic but I move to another brand.

> 3 dayThe short throw distance made setup a breeze. I put this on my coffee table in the living room and it gave me 100” from less than 5’ away. This projector is bright, and the color is amazing. It also has this 3X fast input feature built-in for fast action games. I tried street fighter on my PS4 and felt really responsive with no lag at all. I highly recommend this projector for gaming and movies.

> 3 dayFirst things first, because there is no mention anywhere of 3D support in the specs or product description there are a lot of comments out there stating that the PX701-4K isn’t capable of 3D. This is incorrect. It does in fact support 3D and it looks great! The older versions that were initially shipped did not support 3D. However, since then ViewSonic has made the necessary hardware & firmware upgrades to correct this. Now that the 3D speculation is out of the way let me talk about the projector. It’s a great 4K projector considering the price tag. True, it’s not native 4K but it does produce 3840x2160 pixels when inputting a 4K signal into the projector. The projector does this. by what’s called “Pixel Shifting “. This is done to expand the native 1080p resolution to produce an effective 4K image on the screen. So, basically, you’re still getting 4K resolution without the much higher price tag you would pay for a native 4K projector. When you play 4K content the projector also displays 3840x2160 on it’s display on the screen. Another nice thing is that it supports HDR & HLG. However, it does not support Dolby Vision which is not a dealbreaker for me. The 3200 ANSI lumens produce a nice bright and vivid picture. I also really like the auto keystone feature. I have the projector sitting on a coffee table which is much lower than my screen and I didn’t have to adjust anything. The projector automatically adjusted the image perfectly. The fan is pretty quiet as well and If you have a surround system you won’t hear it at all. I haven’t tried gaming on it yet but if the specs are correct this should be great for gaming too! Overall I’m satisfied with the projector.

> 3 dayThis projectors picture quality and watching experience exceeded my expectations by far. The picture attached is of a 133 display. Text is sharp, colors are excellent. Brightness i could say is almost blinding in medium/low lit rooms. You dont really need a ~$200 screen to enjoy this projector. The 1080p native resolution is true and amazing, unlike on cheaper projectors that claim to be 1080p but in fact are only 480p or 720p with support for 1080p video input. Unlike cheaper projectors with 16:10 screen ratio this projector is 16:9 which is the standard for full size youtube/movies use. I really liked the USB-C Thunderbolt input which works great with macs, windows PCs , i also tried it with an Android phone but i think the resolution was lower (not sure about this one) You can hear the projector fans only when you listen to them, otherwise they are not noticeable at all. The heat output from it is a little noticeable when used in a bedroom. The most favorite feature of this projector is Short Throw. With a standard Projector you must have at least 11 Feet for a 100 display while this display can have the same 100 display size at 5 Feet. This is great because you dont have distance restrictions and can use it in bedrooms or living rooms and dont necessarily need to place it on the ceiling. Use projectorcentral website for any projector that you might be interested to calculate the projector distance from the wall, it helped me a lot to understand projectors as a novice. After having the experience with this projector. if i had the choice right now to either go buy a top tier $1000 Samsung 55 Q8F series Qled Tv or this projector and save $300 i would buy the projector without a single doubt.

Greater than one weekYou wont find a 4k projector below 1000 like this, its stunning. Great customization with picture, fantastic for gaming even without the 240 hz, and its so easy to stick a fire tv in and connect to bluetooth speakers. I have it at 100 inches sitting about 13 ft back. But I could easily see this getting up to 200 ft without looking dim as its so bright at the moment. Great projector! Only thing, slight chromatic aberration that you notice from time to time. If youre sensitive about that you may want to look elsewhere, a friend of mine watched a movie with me and said they couldnt stop noticing it even though I didnt see anything.

> 3 dayIm actually surprised how good this is for gaming. I know its advertised as a gaming projector but really didnt think Id use it over the TV. Im positioned about 4m away on a 120 screen and gaming is really good. No its not as bright as the TV but I only really game at night so its not the end of the world as its dark enough. Watching in day light isnt great. I have a window measuring 120cm x 210cm about 1-2m from the screen to the left of it and any time before 8pm (currently british summer), if you value image quality is pointless. Once I have blinds in the window Im sure it will be fine but I avoid daylight watching at the mo because its just too washed out for me. Once its a bit darker though its spot on. Dont bother with SD picture (depending on screen size) on 120 SD images are appalling. Go FHD or 4k though and things are so much BETTER and make sense again. Pretty easy to set up. Definitely fiddle with picture settings a bit. You can get so much more background detail etc when you play about compared to out of the box settings. Colours looked really weird on sport out of the box too. Just pause an image on the screen and see what looks best to you. Overall very happy at £700.

> 3 dayThe description combines large image verbiage and short distance from the wall. The claims are mutually exclusive; you cannot get a large image a short distance from the wall. If you don’t care how far the projector is from the wall this might be a good deal, but if you really need flexibility with short throw, this did not work for me. Postive 5-rating for a quality project, negitive 1-rating for the short through large image claim.
