> 3 dayProjector keeps flickering and or flashing colors on the screen. I took down my old projector to put this one in so ik all the cables and connections work. This projector is simply just defective and after a week of dealing with issues with the seller on delivering the projector I finally get it just to see it’s bulb is already going out… Great quality these projectors must be…

11-06-2025I bought this projector for our outdoor patio. Some people claim that you can watch things in daylight, that is not true. The picture is visible in daylight but too washed out to enjoy. We use it once it gets dark out and it gets very bright then. This is a 1080P projector and looks great at proper viewing distances (not too close up). We have it projecting an image on a 100 screen. Colors are accurate, picture is bright, and there isnt much visible lag.

> 3 dayThis was easy to set up, had it running off a MacBook within two minutes. The short-throw lens is fantastic, but it also projects much wider, easily 100 inches. Picture is crisp, and resolution is great even for high FPS games, which is of course what this projector was designed for. Its also a light unit, very portable. I only wish it had included a padded case at this price. NOTE: if you live above 5000 feet or so, be sure to set the projector to high altitude per the instructions (in the settings menu). This will make the fan run a bit louder, but its worth it to increase the life of the projector.

> 3 dayFirst off I want to say that I am upgrading from a 720p 3d viewsonic projector so while I think the picture Im getting on this new model looks freaking amazing, it wouldnt be hard for me to be impressed by any 4k projector that I see now. So that being said the picture is truly mind blowing even with only minor adjustments. Next, gaming looks awesome as well (xbox one). I really did notice faster game play because of the low latency. So now my one and only issue I have. It is not showing 3D correctly. The problem is the picture is severely shaking or flickering. I was able to play 3d fine on my old projector and now this one does not. I even upgraded my bluray to a 4k to see if it fixed the issue and still the same. I am using optical hdmi cables 50ft. From projector to source. Have had zero issues outside of the 3d playback so its not cables or connections. I really feel like my unit is defective. And I will likely return and ask for a replacement. The specs say it does 3d so it shouldnt be an issue.

> 3 dayThis would have been a 5 Stars projector if the first one I received was not defective. I was really impressed with the picture quality of this projector once I got it working. Which makes it a worthy replacement of my previous Mitsubishi DLP HD projector. Unfortunately, it was clear that I received a defective unit !!!!!!!!! This was clear to me within minutes of plugging in a 4K Apple TV unit as the source. I immediately heard a loud grinding sound. stopped everything unplugged everything and restarted... The same grinding started again. It was so loud and actually louder than my coffee beans grinder-No kidding! I removed the HDMI and connected a brand new 4K Apple TV that I had intended for this projector. It seemed to work fine and allowed me to adjust the image to my taste. A lot of control over color, picture quality. Overall excellent picture quality in 4k bright and detailed. On the first unit that was defective, there was somewhat a loud flickering sound -similar to an old 16mm projector running a film that was not as loud as the grinding sound I experienced with the first Apple TV I connected. It seemed really strange. When I pause the show, the sound stops, when I resume playing the show, the sound returns. I had to send it back and repurchase it again. I will update this review once I receive the replacement. Pros: -Super bright picture - that you can watch even with some daylight or soft dim light in the room. -High Quality picture -Beautiful colors -Smooth gradients and grayscales -Good on screen menu -Responsive remote (if you want the backlit version of this remote, it comes only with the PX 748 model) -Smooth zoom and focus ring for easy adjustment -Very Sharp picture from corner to corner -Auto Keystone feature - saves a lot of time and effort. -3 years warranty. Cons: Defective unit - makes ne worry about quality control ***Update 12/15/22 I received my PX-701 4K replacement! Very quiet fan which confirmed that the first one I received was defective! Stunning picture quality on a good quality 100 screen ! I attached several photos from Apple TV as the source with 100 electric motorized screen by Elite Screens I do recommend this projector! It is a bargain for a 4K projector under $1000. ***Update 12/28/2022. Im truly in love with this projector, specially after testing 5 different projectors from different brands. In that $900 range, I havent seen a single 4K capable projector that comes even close to this 3200 lumens brightness and picture quality. I highly recommend it!

> 3 dayGreat projector. Plenty bright Unfortunately, my HP Laptop with UHD video card is outside the range of what it accepts. Need to create a firmware update so the projector can process the signal. The projector works fine with older HP laptops, Microsoft Surface and Samsung tablet.

10-06-2025I purchased this (and a screen) to be able to take on the road for demonstrations and presentations. I dont know anything about projectors, so take this review with a grain of salt. The positives: First, it fits in my (moderately large) backpack with room for my laptop and associated cords and cables. Big plus. Secondly, it doesnt have to be used so that the angle of projection is perpendicular to the screen surface: the projection can be warped somewhat so that the image appears to have been projected along a perpendicular axis even at an angle. Thirdly, you can make out colours quite well in a normally-lit office. Finally, it accepts USB-c input, so if your laptop doesnt have HDMI out, you dont need to faff about with adaptors (which helps avoid looking unprepared). The negatives: First, you do need quite a big backpack - its not portable in a strict sense (nor is it advertised as such, so its not a criticism of the device, just its suitability to my use case). Secondly, the mechanism by which you adjust the image is tricky (at least I found it to be: this is the first time Ive used a projector rather than having the AV guy at hand to compensate for my incompetence): Id allow 10 minutes after positioning the projector and before presenting to get this adjustment right. Thirdly, the focus is hard to get exactly right--for me this is not a big issue, as I dont have text-heavy presentations (mostly charts), but if you plan on people being able to read smallish text, give yourself a good couple of minutes extra to fiddle with it. It has a whole bunch of functionality I havent used, and about which I cant comment, but I imagine its quite good.

> 3 daynice projector but with limitations, pros: very bright image in dynamic mode and normal mode, well detailed image. cons: the zoom and focus work apparently in a funny way (but maybe it was me not able to set them properly?) in eco mode and super eco mode the image is not bright; in all 4 options and despite the adjustments made the visual effect is not very engaging (in dynamic mode it definitely improves); It is a good product for the price but with many limitations, personally I will opt to spend 200 pounds more and buy an epson 7000 projector.

> 3 dayI purchased the artlii projector energon 2 And this product as well. (In short) The artlii projector energon 2 will do everything the ViewSonic will do except play Gaming Systems in 4k. Movies on the artlii projector energon 2 have the same nearly image as ViewSonic px 701. The artlii projector energon 2 is advertised as an outdoor projector but looks awesome indoors as well. The ViewSonic has a 3D section however information in not IN THE MANUAL. (In Short) if you want to just watch movies in 4k you should buy the artlii projector energon 2(cost apx under $300 compared to the $800 ViewSonic). Biggest Cons : ViewSonic support. ViewSonic support team have very limited knowledge and it is almost impossible to reach a technical support agent. Pros: will play all video gaming system in 4k with awesome pictures. Finally (artlii projector energon 2 is the Winner Here and will play PS5 in 1080p and it delivers and great image quality as well. Once again it looks great indoor and outdoor with 4k movies) ViewSonic has 3d capabilities/ But good luck trying to figure out how to set it up or what glasses to buy for this system. I purchased three sets of active 3d shutters Glasses none of them connected to the ViewSonic) Honestly if it were not for the PS5 showing up in 4k I would return the ViewSonic) Movie Watchers**** save you some money and go with the artlii projector energon 2 looks good INDOOR as well as Outdoor with an Amazing 4k Quality the ViewSonic is indeed slightly better but only a super pro can tell the difference.
