> 3 dayUsing this as a separate monitor in smaller upstairs home office. As much as it would be nice to have a 4K monitor, I really couldnt see spending an extra $200-$300 for it since I wont be watching be primarily watching movies on it. However, the QHD is excellent for general personal and office work, including tasks like software development. Has all the latest common connectivity options - USB-C 3.1 / HDMI 1.4 / DisplayPort / and USB 3.0 inputs. Love the nearly nonexistent bevels around the top and sides and the built-in speakers are more than sufficient. Especially cool is the tool-less assembly! One thumbscrew at the bottom to put the stand together and the stand *snaps* into the back of the monitor. There is a nice built-in handle at the top of the stand behind the monitor to help carry/move it. Wide tilt angle and height adjustment. Well done ViewSonic!! I may have to get another one - just cause!! Just a note that this one is a second shipment. The first shipment was one where the monitor was either damaged at the factory and hastily repacked or it was somehow damaged in some other fashion and repackaged as new. No problem - returned to Amazon the same day via a drop off at Kohls and received this one within 1.5 days.

Greater than one weekFor the price, it is unbeatable. Im glad chose the 1440p model over full HD. I was on the fence since I dont do any gaming and this would purely be for office use and browsing. It makes a big difference in how much text that can be displayed and the clarity as well. Bonus USB ports on the side not shown in the specs.

> 3 dayWorks pretty well except the constant red pixel in the middle of the screen. fortunately, it is only one so far.. but still disappointing Edit: I purchased 2 of these monitors and the second monitor now has a dead pixel after 11 months

> 3 dayOther reviews talk about the picture and the lack of a USB-C cable. They have heard and now include a 10Gb/s 1m long cable which works fine. The built-in speaker sound quality is not as good a the build-in late model MacBook Pro laptop, but is ok. The USB-C cable allows for the monitor to be almost be a docking station. After a month of our family using 2 of these monitors, Ive raised it to 5-stars.

Greater than one weekHeads up if youre counting on the included cables. The item description says the monitor includes DP to DP Cable, and USB 3.0 Cable; I paid attention specifically because we could have used those cables to connect our 3 computers to the 2 monitors (not at the same time) we bought. Instead, they came with HDMI, USB-A to USB-B, and USB 3.1 Type C cables. Our computers dont have HDMI ports, but the others should have been fine; but they didnt work, monitor said No Signal. I spent over 2 hours trying to make them work. I then spoke with Apple support and they said the included cables werent strong enough to carry the signal. I went out and bought Type-C Thunderbolt (to replace what didnt work) and DP cables (which should have been included), and the monitors worked plug-and-play like they should. Not clear why would they sent different cables than in the product description, or include cables not strong enough to carry a signal; but assume youre going to have to pay extra to buy cables that will work. BTW the monitors shipped directly from the manufacturer, so it is their issue, not the sellers.

> 3 dayI use this to extend my MacBook screen for office type applications. My main need is a crisp picture for smooth text and application windows, and at 1440p the picture is plenty crisp for my needs. There seems to be a bit of confusion as to what cables are included in the box. I cant say if ViewSonic has recently changed what they include, but mine (purchased in July 2020) included a USB-C 3.1 cable. The great feature is the Mac, or any USB-C laptop, will connect video, connect any devices plugged into the monitors USB-A ports, and charge the laptop all over a single cable and without adapters. This is more convenient than I thought it would be.

Greater than one weekThis monitor has a nice screen and features and is fine for general use. As many have mentioned the stand is excellent. My biggest issue with this monitor is that it will only provide 30Hz through the USB-C port, which is not disclosed in the documentation, and that the power through that port is insufficient to power a Macbook pro 16 under moderate / heavy load, which I did expect, but it seems pretty lame. So if you want to play a game, youll need to plug in your power adapter and connect to the HDMI or other port to get 60Hz. I verified that one only gets 30Hz through the USB-c port on several computers including a Lenovo. Viewsonic support tried to help me with this but eventually gave up.

> 3 dayTry both Anker and Cable Matters video cables, this monitor only works for wife MacBook Air 2020, but not for my MacBook Pro 2018 nor sons MacBook Air 2019. Try upgraded to Catalina 10.15.4 , reset NVRAM but still no luck, very frustrated and hope someone knows the solution.
