> 3 dayI have a 13 Macbook Pro from 2016. With just the included USB C cable (monitor to computer) and the included power cable (wall to monitor), you can power the monitor, keep the computer charged, and plug your peripherals into the monitor directly. Those peripherals receive power (e.g. charging a usb power bank) and also can talk to your computer (e.g. a USB webcam) if needed. I was searching for a while for a monitor that supports 2K resolutions (the most this Macbook Pro can pump out), charging the computer over the data cable, and transmits the USB signal from peripherals downstream to the computer. This does all of it! Super happy with this purchase and it comes at a great cost.

> 3 dayOn amazon it states this monitor is a 75hz refresh rate one. Technically, its true but it only works with lower resolutions - 1280x1024 and lower. Why would you want to buy a 4k monitor just to lower the resolution? ViewSonic should have been more clear about it and specify 75hz works only with such low resolutions! I didnt expect such a foul behavior from ViewSonic.

> 3 dayThe monitor works well with my macbook. It charges the computer via the USBC and has USB ports for the keyboard and for the iphone. The issue is that it is only 2k. This is not enough for such a large screen. Still 5 stars since it works as advertised.

> 3 dayOther reviews talk about the picture and the lack of a USB-C cable. They have heard and now include a 10Gb/s 1m long cable which works fine. The built-in speaker sound quality is not as good a the build-in late model MacBook Pro laptop, but is ok. The USB-C cable allows for the monitor to be almost be a docking station. After a month of our family using 2 of these monitors, Ive raised it to 5-stars.

> 3 dayPlease be advised, you need a specific USB C cable for this monitor to work with your Macbook Pro or any laptop you have. I DID read a review that says you need a USB C 3.1 cable so I bought an Anker cable. The review on it says IT DOES transmit video but it does not. The reason why the review says so is because it pulls from all versions of the cable so there is a version that DOES work. I bought this, however, 60W USB C to USB C Cable [3.3ft, 10Gbps], iVANKY USB C 3.1 Gen 2 Cable Fast Charge with Power Delivery and 4K Video Output, Braided Type-C Video Cable, for MacBook, Chromebook Pixel, iPad Pro and More This works!

> 3 dayMonitor is good, but it is not very supportive of Apple computers. The USB-C cable the monitor came with worked for my windows laptop, but it did not for my macbook pro. I had to spend another $15 for a usb-c cable that looks pretty identical to the one that came in the box. Im not sure the why the cable the monitor came with didnt work, but I wished Viewsonic would fix this because a lot of other reviewers had this problem too. Unfortunately, the monitor software it comes with is only available for Windows too. I was really excited about the possibility of using just 1 cord to charge my mac and hook it up to a monitor, but the power the monitor delivers wasnt enough to keep my battery charged. My laptop needs 61W according to Apple, and this monitor provides 60W. I was hoping the 1W wouldnt make a difference, but it does. Viewsonic should up the wattage this monitor provides since 60W is not a lot for a laptop. EDIT: I changed my review to 5 stars because for some reason, the charging is now working and keeping my laptop at 100%.

> 3 dayPros: 1. Nice picture. 2. Nice to be able to see different applications in different screens. Cons 1. Inadequate instructions to connect to a computer (MacBook Air 2020) that has none of the specific ports. Eventually I figured out on my own how to connect via HDMI using a hub. Not easy to do with limited technical knowledge. 2. I was disappointed to find out that the Display Manager and Split View function are only available on Windows desktop PCs. When I called tech support, they kind of minimized the importance of Split View, but I am working remotely with Microsoft Remote Desktop where a lot of functions are not available. Split Screen would have come in very handy.

> 3 dayMy desk isnt very large so Id appreciate 24 monitors and this fits my desk quite well. The functionality, screen colors and ease of setup are all generally good enough.

> 3 dayGood entry level monitor for business. I like that I can adjust the height and tilt in so many ways. Picture quality pretty good. Only thing I dont like is the menu tree is not very intuitive. Overall a good choice.

Greater than one weekI went back and forth between this monitor and a LG 4K monitor. This monitor definitely gets the job done and for almost half the price. I used a thunderbolt cable and the picture is amazing and keeps my MacBook charged. I would definitely recommend this monitor.
