> 3 dayThe monitor is ok, nothing fancy. I purchased it because it was supposed to support pass-through charging for my MacBook Pro so I could cut down on the cords on my desk, after reading some of the other reviews and tech questions it sounded like the monitor would but that appears not to be the case. I even purchased a 3.1 USB-C cord but no luck. I dont think this thing puts out enough power sadly.

> 3 dayWorks pretty well except the constant red pixel in the middle of the screen. fortunately, it is only one so far.. but still disappointing Edit: I purchased 2 of these monitors and the second monitor now has a dead pixel after 11 months

> 3 dayI performed so much research on these monitors, as I have some at work and wanted some for home office. Very confusing to research these as their model numbering is difficult. First, I really like these monitors, which is why I bought x2 for home (vg2755 1080). The daisy chaining is awesome, which comes to my 1 star rating. The xx55s dont allow you to! Absolute nonsense as VS markets the awesomeness of USB-C allowing you dock the monitors to each other (which these monitors are usb-c). You have to get at least x1 xx56 and then connect a second monitor such as the xx55. But wait, there is more! Not all xx56s let you!!! It looks like the 4k version does not, but the 2k does? and what of the size differences? I am sorry to give such a low score to something I like but that marketing needs to be far more truthful in what they are advertising.

> 3 dayThe monitor is used in my 3 screen workstation for CAD and pdf work. It is a good monitor with clean images. It does have this habit of giving me a black screen and no input message about once per week. My other two monitors do not. It requires me to remove power cord and plug back in to clear it. I keep using it because the price was right. This unit is a little over a year old.

Greater than one weekThis monitor has a nice screen and features and is fine for general use. As many have mentioned the stand is excellent. My biggest issue with this monitor is that it will only provide 30Hz through the USB-C port, which is not disclosed in the documentation, and that the power through that port is insufficient to power a Macbook pro 16 under moderate / heavy load, which I did expect, but it seems pretty lame. So if you want to play a game, youll need to plug in your power adapter and connect to the HDMI or other port to get 60Hz. I verified that one only gets 30Hz through the USB-c port on several computers including a Lenovo. Viewsonic support tried to help me with this but eventually gave up.

> 3 dayOther reviews talk about the picture and the lack of a USB-C cable. They have heard and now include a 10Gb/s 1m long cable which works fine. The built-in speaker sound quality is not as good a the build-in late model MacBook Pro laptop, but is ok. The USB-C cable allows for the monitor to be almost be a docking station. After a month of our family using 2 of these monitors, Ive raised it to 5-stars.

> 3 dayMonitor perform very well - good color, excellent picture quality, brightness is much better than my prior monitor. Im using 2560x1440p resolution - and use it as my primary monitor. I also have a 21 HP 1-8-p monitor as my 2nd monitor and am using the laptop screen as monitor 3. All three interact well in Windows10. The 2560x1440 gives me plenty of working area on the main screen -- often I use 2-3 windows on that screen and can still position them to view all with only slight overlaps. I use screen 2 as the screen to share for online presentations or to park an open document or Excel for frequent reference. I only keep then laptop screen open so I can use Hello Windows login from the laptop camera -- I dont really use the screen often. I deliberately bought the USB C to have one cable connections - but due to some other port needs, Im actually connected using HDMI for now so I cannot comment on that capability.

> 3 dayI needed a USB Type C monitor and this was the best one I could find in my price range. It has everything that I need and has worked great ever since I bought it.

> 3 dayMonitor is good, but it is not very supportive of Apple computers. The USB-C cable the monitor came with worked for my windows laptop, but it did not for my macbook pro. I had to spend another $15 for a usb-c cable that looks pretty identical to the one that came in the box. Im not sure the why the cable the monitor came with didnt work, but I wished Viewsonic would fix this because a lot of other reviewers had this problem too. Unfortunately, the monitor software it comes with is only available for Windows too. I was really excited about the possibility of using just 1 cord to charge my mac and hook it up to a monitor, but the power the monitor delivers wasnt enough to keep my battery charged. My laptop needs 61W according to Apple, and this monitor provides 60W. I was hoping the 1W wouldnt make a difference, but it does. Viewsonic should up the wattage this monitor provides since 60W is not a lot for a laptop. EDIT: I changed my review to 5 stars because for some reason, the charging is now working and keeping my laptop at 100%.

> 3 dayIve read a number of comments about IPS displays having backlighting issues (excessive brightness in the corners, bleedthrough, etc.). I cant see any such deficiency in this display. The brightness seems quite even across and down. The controls (brightness, contrast, etc.) are easy to access and use. The 2560 x 1440 resolution and 27 size makes it abut as close as you can get to a 27 iMac (pre-Retina, of course). I wish it was a glossy display (as I love that about iMacs), but I dont find the slightly matte finish reducing clarity. The extra inputs will be convenient should I decide to add another computer to the mix. There are certainly cheaper displays out there but this one ticks all the boxes and even has a three year warranty.
