I use these on the warm side of all my snake tanks currently. They work well enough for what I need. I havent had any problems with them holding temp.

Im actually using this to maintain temperature for sourdough starter and rising dough. With a controller (bought separately) it does this very well. I do notice that it has a plastic/chemical smell. I dont think it is affecting the food, but it is still noticeable after a number of weeks.

Needs a thermostat to regulate and control the temp.

Works well and you dont have the hassle of trying to control the heat of a heat lamp.

Keeps the tank a good temperature! The thermostat is fairly easy to use.

I wish the heat mat was a little bigger.

Great mat for plants! Although this product is meant for your reptile friends, it makes a great heat mat for plant propagation stations. If you’re like me and are a little paranoid about it not having an on/off switch, I highly recommend the controller attachment for this product. It’s especially helpful for seedlings.

Ive only been using this for about 24 hrs out of the box. But, so far, Im pleased with the products construction and function. The red LED control display is bright and sharp. I followed the instructions supplied with the controller and I had my temperature set point set up in just seconds. My seed starting table is in a basement area thats around 60 degrees ambient. With an 85 deg. set point, the mat has brought my soil temperature up to around 80F, which is close to where I wanted it to be. Its probably capable of getting the soil much hotter, but I have had no need to go higher. I dont believe the product description mentions it, but the controller display is also a thermometer, that shows actual soil temp. Not sure how accurate it is, but most seed starting temps arent all that precision. If exact soil temp is a concern, you might want to invest in a precision dedicated soil thermometer to verify. Also the description says the mat accommodate one seed flat? My 20x20 will actually accommodate two standard flats, which is why I bought this one instead of one of the small 20x10 mats that are offered on Amazon.

Everythings great only off by 2c on all my other meters.
