Greater than one weekIf you bump the cord even slightly it will stop heating and won’t turn back on! Not sure if I just got a defective one but I literally used it for a week and I woke up to my tank at 72 degrees when it’s supposed to hit 85. This is dangerous. Do not for any reason buy this for any kind of sensitive reptile or amphibian.

> 3 dayIt heats up nicely and stays very close to set temperature. It’s not very thick so makes it easier to apply without worry. It has a sticky back with a removable strip to do so but I just taped it to the bottom of my aquarium so when I upgrade the enclosure it can move with my snake. I recommend this heat mat as it comes with the thermostat and makes it safe so it don’t cause injury to your reptile from overheating.

07-06-2025The worst part about caring for reptiles is the constant need to replace cheaply made heating and lighting products sold by the big pet store brands. THIS HEATING PAD IS STILL GOING STRONG! Jake the snake says it is warm and it still works so were both happy with it.

> 3 dayThe whole controller gets super hot and won’t let me lower the temp it started going up a few degrees a day until I just had to unplug it as it won’t let you turn it down. A real safety issue

VIVOSUN Reptile Heating Pad is an ideal 24-hour heat source for tropical or temperate reptilian species. It contains a high level nichrome heating wire and great PVC material to insulation which can provide constant heat for reptiles and amphibians.
Reptile Heat Mat Installation:
1. Clean the surface of the terrarium
2. Peel adhesive paper off back of the pad
3. Lie heat mat on the bottom/side of the tank
4. Press it hard and smooth out any bubbles until it stick to the tank firmly
