Chiming to say that these work perfectly with HomeKit. I use a HomePod mini as a hub and have Nest WiFi mesh routers. These smart plugs work great. Ive got four so far in my home and theyve yet to disconnect/fail after a full year of constant usage. Id recommend these if youre looking for a reliable/affordable smart plug to use with HomeKit. Note that, while you can use these without installing any third-party app, you *do* need to have the VOCOlinc app to update the firmware. Updates dont come by often, but I noticed that you cannot do so via the Apple Home app itself; youll need VOCOlincs app from the App Store.

Working well for about a week with Homekit. I have not had any disconnection problems. I have used the Vocolinc switch with iPhone, iPad Pro, and Mac Mini. My router is an Apple Airport Extreme. Some slight initial confusion with setup but this is my first smart device setup with Apple Homekit. I found that I needed to use the Vocolinc app to scan the device initially. Scanning with the Apple Home app did not work even though the device did appear in the Home app. There are instructions and a user guide included and VR codes on each device. It can be difficult to scan the VR code if the device is plugged in the wall but the codes are also printed on the inside of the box and on the user guide. You just need to scan the code that matches the individual socket making sure to block any other VR codes. Update: I bought 2 more of these and was able to use Apple’s Home App to scan the devices without using Vocolinc’s app. Still working great!

Im using this in an Apple HomeKit setup. I was really glad to see that you could set it up directly in HomeKit, and the setup was perfectly seamless. So many products require you to download the manufacturers app these days, which inevitably tries to gather your email, personal information, etc etc... its refreshing to have something that just works as hardware like its supposed to. The responsiveness through HomeKit is excellent as well. No delays when turning lights on through the app.

I purchased one of these switch outlets to use with HomeKit. Since I already had a few Vocolinc devices, setup was quick and easy using the bar code that came with the product. It integrated with my HomeKit and Alexa automatically since I had already syncd the Vocolinc account with Homekit and Alexa Skill. The device has been working great since day one. I use these as digital timers to turn on/off lights at night in place of traditional timers. Currently Im using the device to turn on/off a scented wax melter such that the wax is only melted when someone is home by using the geo-fencing features in Apple HomeKit Automation and the attached device. These devices are excellent. I have several of them now and use them to control not only lights, but also oil scent diffusers and wax melters. Its great to set an automation to turn them off when you leave, and back on when you return, so youre not wasting scent while no one is home.

These smart plugs installed very easily and work as described. I tested with Google, Alexa, and Apple. I previously bought some other smart plugs that were also for Apple but had issues. I successfully installed one of the plugs, but after a power failure the next day, the plug never worked, nor any of the other plugs, so that’s when I bought the VOCOlinc plugs. I also installed the VOCOlinc app so that I could save and manage the plugs. After you install the plugs, you should do the firmware update for each of the plugs. The app steps you through the easy update. As a note, I have an xFinity dual band router (2.4 and 5G) and did not have to perform anything special with the router for the plugs to install. The smart plugs are smart!

This is a good switch.. I bought the 2 pack. I really only needed one, but the price was good so I thought Im sure Ill find a use for the second switch. I was attracted to this because of the ability to integrate with homekit. I have an Orbi mesh setup, it broadcasts the same SSID for the 5ghz and 2.4ghz, with no apparent way to temporarily turn off the 5ghz network. The process to setup the switch goes like this on an iPhone. Download the manufacturers app -> click on add device -> You are then bounced to the homekit screen to scan the QR code for the device. Your phone MUST be on the 2.4ghz network for it to work. Thats where my problem was. I solved this by taking a 100ft extension cord and going out into the yard where the 5ghz doesnt reach. With phone connected to the 2.4ghz network (I can verify this by checking in the Orbi app), it had no problem setting up the first switch. I could not get the second one to work. As far as the working switch goes, no problems, works fine after unplugging and plugging back in where it connects to the 2.4ghz network with no issue. Hope this helps you make a decision.

I purchased a couple of iHome smart outlets last year and they have been working great. I even move them around to different rooms/lamps, etc. and just rename them and they have no problem. These Vocolinc plugs are much cheaper and seem to be made to work with Apple Homekit well. Setup is easy for Homekit. You just plug them in and open the wifi on your settings and youll see a message in a few moments for the new plug to join the network and add to Homekit. When you respond yes youll get a prompt to scan the QR code from the box or the plug. Do that and it shows up in your home a few seconds later. Voila, youre done. Now you can set lamps to automatically turn on or off by schedule or as part of a scene. This product is a great addition so far!

Was ridiculously easy to set up with Apple Home. Works flawlessly. Voice commands with Siri work and are fast. Timers and automations set though the Home app work perfect. I started with 4 to use with Christmas decorations and now am ordering more. Exceeded all my expectations so far.

Well I have pretty much everything in my apartment automated , Wi-Fi or blue tooth and I purchased two new fountains and of course I wanted Siri to be able to control them as well . So my first choice was the product that is similar to the fish . I had 2 1/2 to 3 months of failure and disappointment with that product . So I purchased these and connection was easy ( I have the Apple home ) and the plugs have worked flawlessly . Based on my experience I would recommend .
