> 3 dayI tried two other brands for my Home Kit setup. They failed to be responsive and reliable. The VoColink smart plugs are not easy to install but work all the time without a hitch. They are very responsive to status changes I enter on my iPhone.

> 3 dayGot this for the inside Christmas tree lights. Went with VOCO because I already had 2 LED bulbs. Works well and setup was easy once I got an iOS device to talk on the 2.4 GHz Wifi. NOTE. I have one Wifi name for both 2.4 and 5.0 and my iPhone 11 Pro would not make the distinction. Had to pull out an iPad Air 2 which was able to communicate over the 2.4 and get this configured. Otherwise I would have had to reconfigure the network names so that my device could access it. Google this if you do not understand. Going forward I will be looking to get Thread based not Wifi based smart home devices. But this was a decent price for what I needed it to do.

Greater than one weekI have 4 of these switches. They work great until your power goes out, and then youre going to have problems. While they usually keep working with Apple HomeKit even after a power outage, their connection to Alexa is usually lost completely. Sometimes I get lucky and can simply unplug them and plug them back in after the router gets back up and going, but this doesnt usually work. If it doesnt, the only solution is to remove them from the Alexa app, reset the plugs, and add them back to the home as a new device. Then you have to add them back to all the scenes, automations, etc. for them to work like they used to. When you do this reset, it also means you also have to add them back to the Apple home app.

> 3 dayI have several of these in my house, and I love them being HomeKit compatible. These are very easy to setup and connect to HomeKit up using the VOCOlinc iOS app. A note to VOCOLinc: this set did not include any QR codes on the back of the guide like all the others had I’ve purchased in the past. These will have to be connected by the QR code printed on the plug itself, a slight inconvenience if the plug is behind heavy furniture and the QR codes needs to be scanned again.

> 3 dayWorking well for about a week with Homekit. I have not had any disconnection problems. I have used the Vocolinc switch with iPhone, iPad Pro, and Mac Mini. My router is an Apple Airport Extreme. Some slight initial confusion with setup but this is my first smart device setup with Apple Homekit. I found that I needed to use the Vocolinc app to scan the device initially. Scanning with the Apple Home app did not work even though the device did appear in the Home app. There are instructions and a user guide included and VR codes on each device. It can be difficult to scan the VR code if the device is plugged in the wall but the codes are also printed on the inside of the box and on the user guide. You just need to scan the code that matches the individual socket making sure to block any other VR codes. Update: I bought 2 more of these and was able to use Apple’s Home App to scan the devices without using Vocolinc’s app. Still working great!

> 3 dayWorks great with iPhone and Homepod. I am able to schedule the time in the home app for automation which I found to be the most useful. I gave 4 star because sometimes the response from HomePod is slow. Other than that, its a great smart plug for Siri.

> 3 dayI have a bunch of Alexa smart plugs, but finding a Homekit plug that works as well as the Alexa ones has been a challenge. Thankfully, this VOCOlinc one has come along to save the day! Its very simple to setup and works perfectly. Its super fast and responsive when triggered by voice or directly with my iPhone/iPad home app. If you need a homekit plug, this is your best option.

Greater than one weekI was hesitant to jump into the smart home game, because I knew it was an expensive road, full of maintenance and glitches, or so I thought. At $30 for two smart outlets, I found it very affordable and I decided to give it a try. WOW! Using Homekit, the setup was a breeze! Plug it in, open Homekit app, scan the QR code and there you go! Done! No HUB needed, these work right out of the box using only your phone and wifi. Setup takes 30 seconds. I was expecting a delay when turning lights on and off, but it is instant! Its fast enough you can click it on and off, over and over really fast, like a regular light switch to annoy your friends or family ;) Ive been using these plugs for the last month or so, and they are setup to automation and turn on 1 hour before sunrise, then turn off when we leave the house! Then, they turn on right before sunset and when I jump in bed I just say Goodnight! and they turn off with the siri voice shortcuts! I loved them so much that I bought two more, plus their smart Wi-Fi color changing light bulb. They all work together flawlessly and I can highly recommend these if you are starting out with a smart home.
